Do you need two days for Sea World

Hi everyone. Newbie here.

We just took our first family trip to Disney this past Thanksgiving and absolutely fell in love with it. So I've planned a surprise trip to Disney this December after Christmas (we'll surprise the kids Christmas morning).

I'm starting to plan the itinerary, and we've decided to do Sea World at the beginning. I'm trying to figure out if we need two days. We are a family of four, and at the time of the trip the ages will be me(35), dh(34), ds(9) and dd(7). We are a family that likes to do everything and ride everything.

Should I plan two days or can Sea World be done in one day? Does it take more like a day and half? We have ressies in Disney World (Port Orleans Riverside) for Dec 28 - Jan 2, and I'm trying to figure out if we should get to Orlando on the 26 (late) and do Sea World on the 27th and 28th, or if we will just need the 27th.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

During my vacation in January, I spent two days to see everything at SeaWorld and a third day to see my favorites again. My mother and her friend recently spent one full day and two half days enjoying Sea World. If you only have a day and a half, then go and enjoy it, but if you can allocate two whole days there, I think you'd have a more relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable time. Also, If you're visiting the week after Christmas, then you'll definitely need two days because it's a very busy week at the Florida parks.

The more I think about it, sounds like maybe I'll have to add a couple more days to our trip, to make sure I get the most out of the trip.

We did Sea World early in our 9 day trip then picked up the free tickets to come in again and did it the last day. It was our favorite out of all the parks we went to. I thought we'd get to see the shows we missed the first day on the second day (well we did see Blue Horizons) but we really just wanted to go to our favorite things again. And we missed feeding/petting a dolphin on the first day. We fed/petted stingrays on both days and did the Polar Expedition tour the first day.

I would agree with the other posters. It is great that the second day is free (get the return ticket when you enter, line is longer if you wait until when you leave and you can usually get in before the national anthem and have time before things get going) and it lets you take the park at a relaxed pace as you are not scrambling to get your money's worth.

We liked Sea World better than MK. We found that there were enought rides for us and I personally enjoyed the animal attractions better - but that is our family and may not be yours. There are not as a lot firides, but I enjoyed the shows more anyway.

One suggestion - plan on the shows that you want to see, be there early (if it is crowded) and then fit the rest of the day around the shows. I planned and we had very full and fun days. I heard another family that was walking around at 11:15 and the mom exclaimed that they had been walking all morning and had not see anything - what a pity!

We were there during east coast April break last year and the crowds were bearable. I thought that the park was beautiful and relaxing. The staff was very nice and we had a good time and enjoyed taking a mid-day break and going back at night (just me and the two older ones). We hit Journey to Atlantis many times with minimal wait and there was a good mix of things to do for DW, DS (4) DD (7) and Niece (11).

We were there in Jan. and had two days ~ to make a long story short...we didn't even get to see it all in two days and I planned and planned and had everything figured out before going so definatley two days

We only have 1 day for seaworld and 1 day for aquatica planned on our trip. To make sure we can see as much as we can and still have fun we are taking the 7hr adventure tour they offer. It looked like a nice option to be able to see quite a bit and skip in front of the lines

If you have two days, try devoting one day to the shows, allowing plenty of time to get to each one early. In other words, don't rush from one show to another that's starting in 10 or 15 minutes!

Then spend the other day doing the rides and seeing the shows you really liked a second time.
