Do you need to sign up to use ME?

We are DVC members & are going mid Nov.- am I suppose to get something in the mail about ME? We are staying at OKW - should they arrange this for me? Tks

They don't arrange this for you. You have to do it yourself.

Yes, you need to do it yourself, and I would do it asap. They are trying to get the ME tags sent out earlier than they initially were. You will need to give them your flight information.

We called about 8 weeks before our flight, about 3 weeks before departure we recieved our tags in the mail.

My brother didnt arrange his flight until 2.5 weeks before the trip, and they said that it was too late to get his tags to him. He was still able to ride ME with no problems, but he had to take them his luggage claim tags when he arrived so that they could get his luggage for him.

Yes, you need to sign up in advance - especially based on this http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=936566 thread from someone who knows.

Reserving ME at least 10 days in advance has always been advertised as necessary.

Getting written confirmation of everything you order on line or over the phone has always been highly recommended. Since ME has not been consistent about giving written confirmations, at least get the name of the person you talked to on the phone.

DVC members should book ME thru Member Services. I got my tags less than two weeks after I called (for 6 people!). Everything arrived about 3 1/2 weeks before my trip date.
