Do you need proof for a dessert party?

my Tomorrowland terrace dessert party isn’t listed on my MDE app, even though it is on my web account. I reinstalled the app and still nothing. Does it matter? Do I need to have my confirmation number handy or will they have my name?

Same thing for me...it doesn't show on the app but it does when I log into my account on the computer..will they scan our Magic bands? Thanks for the question!

I've never needed anything except my name. When we were there in October we did the Plaza Garden Viewing Party. There were 2 check-in desks at the entrance to Tomorrowland Terrace nearest the Plaza. The first one was for the terrace viewing, they directed us to the second desk. They asked for our name, confirmed the number in our party, and gave us each wristbands. We got there around the time the reservation said to be there, and we were one of the last groups to arrive. They ended up seating us behind the terrace viewing seats in another section, and we went to the terrace viewing dessert stations (same desserts at both parties) so we wouldn't have to cross the public walkway.

I have never needed anything but my name, even when I had a CM at HS add me to the midnight new years eve one the day before, I still just give them my name.

Yes, name is all you really need...it is on your account though. I could see it somewhere but not sure if it was the app or the web page. I do know Disney can see it when scanning the band because on NYE we had to have our MB scanned to be allowed into the roped off area leading to Tomorrowland Terrace.

I was at both parties new yars Eve. They give you a wristband when you sat down at your table. and when you went down they just check that you had the wristband on to the grass area. They never scanned MB, the CM never even had a scanner. Unless this was not this past New Years Eve.

This was not at the party itself but getting to the party from Space Mountain. The area around Tomorrowland was roped off for the fireworks and to get into the area they scanned my band to prove we indeed needed to get to Tomorrowland Terrace. This was this year, NYE.

Once we checked in at the dessert party we were given the wristbands and ushered to a table.

All you need is to give your name. It should be on the list. I have done the party several times, sometimes it has showed up on my MDE, sometimes not.

OH, I see I am glad I did not have to have them scan my band since I was written in on the list and more than likely was not on my band at all.

The only time you'll need a confirmation number is if you book it last minute and your name doesn't appear on the guest list because the guest list used at the party was printed before you booked it. Other than that, all you need to have at check-in is your name and party size. I don't know about the MK parties, but they don't have scanners at any of the other parties.

They have a printout of all registered guests at the podium at check-in, you don't need any proof. Probably doesn't hurt to have your confirmation number noted somewhere. If need be, you could always log in via your phone (to the website, not through the app) for proof if it comes down to that.

Same. I did 12/30 at the late showing and all they did was check my name on a list at Tomorrowland Terrace. No Magic Band scanning for us either.

OP-- It is interesting that the MDE App showed the parties until relatively recently. Then again, now even booking dining only works half the time for me on an iPhone. The app has gotten worse in the last 12 months. You'll be fine though.

they had blocked Main Street off is why they scanned the PP so they could get through any other day but this was NYE

Weird, I see mine listed if I go to See All Plans.

My daughter and her husband have a dessert party next month and it never showed up on her MDE. What is weird is that I can see her dessert party confirmation on my MDE because we are linked as friends and family!

She has her confirmation number and has spoken with Disney about it, but it still won't show on her MDE and she checked on multiple devices.

Edited to add that we only had to give my name and how many people were in my party at dessert party check in. No scanning of my magic band and they didn't need anyone else's name in my party.

I linked the tickets to our bands but I brought a paper copy of the ticket with me just in case.
