Do you need help with New Items coming out?

I know some of you, like me, may have to concentrate more on school than VMK or DIS. It is totally understanding. especially now with all the new posts about tomorrowland quests, and quest buddys (all of which are great, continue the help!) However, If you are like me.. and can only spare so much time a day (I'm talking about 10 min for my self... maybe a little longer if i sign on VMK to get the NPC's) then maybe this will help you.

I would like to ask those who are not like me to maybe voluntreer a small portion of your time. I would like to start an update email chain.. so if something special comes out for just the day.. i can pop on VMK real quick to aquire that item. (i'm a must buy new things adict )

I understand with the age issues that some, or some parents, may not be comfortable with the email idea.. I totally understand and agree that if you are uncomfortable plz do not give out your email address. AND.. to keep people who do want to do that safe.. I am only allowing the sending of email through PM.

I would like to have a person or two who is able to kind of browse around (dis or VMK) and see what is new then send an email to me with the quick item description, price and location. example: today only, valentine chairs red 150 credits, its a small world imports. something like that. then.. those on the list i will forward that same email shortly after i recieve it so you too may have it.

If you would like to join in this update email chain, plz PM me your email address~ again if you are worried about your personal self or children we can try to work something else out.. such as.. sending PM's I am happy to do that for you~ If you would like to be the voulenteer to update us all plz let me know and I will send you my address.

Thank you in advance if you do decide to help - - maybe now I wont miss out on my crazy addiction to buy new stuff.

ALSO~ if emails is not going to work.. this thread may be used and is more than welcome to hold the weekly, and surpirse new items!! and if you are one who is worried about giving out info.. just subscribe to this thread, and when new posts are made- you will get an email about it.

THere is nothing wrong with doing this by PM I just always seem to get my emails faster (cus i am always checking it for school) than I do my PM's which is why i thought of the email way first. No, nothing wrong with doing this by PM.. and if that is the way everyone (or you prefer) than we shall do it that way.

With the amount of children on the boards I just think the DIS PM system would be the safer way to do this....I am not comfortable with children giving out their emails to others they only know by communicating with them on the boards...just my opinion.

Another idea would be to put yet another sticky on the first page which lists the new VMK stuff for the week or day or whatever. Pictures could be included too. If someone notices something new, they can reply to the original post. Whoever owns the original post updates the original post as new items come out. If there is nothing new, the original post can just say, "Nothing new this week." The replies could be deleted once the original post is updated.

It's safe and you don't have to worry about the chain being broken due to someone not being able to check their pm's or email.

Well like I said, I am totally OK with the PM system, so.. forget the email idea.. and lets just do PM system. Which as I stated in my original post, I understand about all the children in the board which is why this option was stated. So.. now to start a list: if you would like to be on the "need updates" side please let me know and if you would like to be on the "I can give you updates" side also let me know. I will compose a Main list.. those who can give updates, and those who would like to recieve them. those who would like to recieve them.. I can do the sending of PM's so that way the one who is giving the info wont have to do too much more than that so as not to take up their time. Does this plan sound better than the first? and if you would like to join either side let me know! (either in post or PM)

i dont feel this is needed at all, (although the sticky idea, does sound like it might make it easier for everyone looking for those new items) ........everyone is very great about posting what is new for the day, along with a pic and if you are worried about not seeing it here on the boards and you check your email all the time, then you will see that same information in your emails, unless you disabled the emails being sent to you....look under your account edit options and make sure you have allowed them....then you can always come back here or sign in at vmk and take a look at them or make a purchase.......

OK well this is being sent by PM now.. and there is a short but sweet list of those wanting this info. So.. until someone is able to voulenteer their time so send me (by PM only) quick updates on what is new that day/weekend.. I will go ahead and manage some time to do it for those who do want this info. again if you would like to receive the info let me know by post of PM and ill add you to list, and if you want to be kind enough to gather the info let me know I hope this will help some of us with little time find a quick and easy resolution with out having to spend a lot of time going through the mass amounts of new posts being seen latley. (But dont be discouraged to keep up the new posts they are interesting!)
