Do you need to make reservations for meals at Universal (at either the parks, hotels, or both) like you do at Disney?

note - We will be 2 adults and 1 child, on our first "big" Universal trip. (The adults have been for a day, a loooooong time ago.) So if you have a "must-eat-there" favorite, recomendations are welcome as well!

Thanks!

You can make reservations the day you want to dine if you wanted but normally you wouldn't have to. My recommendations are:

IOA: Mythos (table) or Thunder Falls Terrace (counter)

Studios: Finnegan's (table) or Louie's (counter)

CityWalk: Margaritaville (table) or Whopper Bar (counter)

IOA:
Mythos (Full Serve), Thunder Falls (counter) Blondie's (counter serve, amazing sandwiches and truly underrated), Burger Digs for burgers. Croissant Moon Bakery for pastries.

USF: Lombard's or Finnegans (full serve), Richters for Burgers, Boulangerie for sandwiches & desserts, Schwabs Pharmacy for ice cream. Boulangerie for pastries.

The loaded funnel cake sold in Amity (USF) or Port of Entry (IOA) is YUMMY!!!!!

Citywalk:
NBA City, Bob Marley's, Margaritaville are great full serve. Whopper Bar/Moe's/Panda Express for counter service.

Just want to add one of my favs.. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. A sitdown rest..
