We are going to MGM on our last day, and I want to keep my options open. Is this restaurant always booked up for lunch? I would like to keep our last day open without having to watch the clock. Or do you need a PS? This is the one where they "scold" you, right?

YES! Even with our PS last April, it was a long wait, in a very crowded waiting area!

JMHO, but we weren't happy with 50's PTC. Our server was not attentive, or playing the 'act' at all. We are opting for SciFi this Dec.... Just wanted to warn you not to get your hopes up.

Yes, I would recommend a PS for 50's PTC for lunch almost anytime of the year. It is becoming a very popular restaurant and sometimes even with a PS, there is a wait. No PS -- an even LONGER wait.

My DW and I have always enjoyed this restaurant and never been disappointed in the food or the service. Some servers are definitely more animated than others. On our anniversary trip last year, we had Uncle Wex -- who seemed subdued, until he found out we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. After that we were "hounded" whenever any new diners came in and with great fanfare, Uncle Wex announced our anniversary over and over. Uncle Wex was not loud and boisterious as some, but he knew how to create a great time for us.

Tip: When you check-in at the restaurant, you can ask the CM to put you in a "room" where the server is really animated or vice versa (if you want someone who is a little more subdued).

We went this last week--not having enough time for breakfast, we tried it at around 11:00 (or whenever they open for lunch) and were able to just walk in without a ps.

My experience with most places this last week were that, if you came at the beginning or end of the eating period, you could get seated immediately without a ps. If you came in the middle, you would have a small wait even with a ps.

We've been going to Prime Time for lunch over the last four years now (always with a PS). Love the food, but really go just to be served by "Auntie Claire". She is the absolute best! Ask to be seated in her area and if you have to wait, do it! Ask to see her photo albums!

I'd suggest a PS. Even with a PS, we waited in the bar area for about 30 minutes. It was quite crowded. We totally enjoyed our meal there. The food was great, the servers were great fun and the theming is really awesome. We already have our PS for our upcoming trip - we can't wait to go back.:D
