Do you miss Tapestry? Wish you could see it, listen to it again?

My favorite parade!! I was bummed when I found out it was gone. So was DD, she calls it the Hey la parade.

Thanks, Dan. This brought back wonderful memories, not only of the parade which we would watch twice a day and I would hum the music till I almost drove Joe mad, but this was our 25th wedding anniversary trip that was topped off by a cruise on the Wonder. A very special trip and year for us.

Goofy me, I was thinking of the album by Carole King! Listening to it on CD right now.

Thank you Dan!

What a wonderful parade!

So sad it's gone :(

Thanks Dan!! I have to go check that site out!! :bounce: I loved :lovestruc that parade and was so sad to see it go. :( I have a great video of it back in 2000. Kirk was 9 and as one of the "butterflies" came past, she waved and him and blew him a kiss....you should of seen his face!! He blushed and got flustered!! :p

I really, really loved ToN. The altered ToD wasn't nearly as cool. One thing that amazed me was how those giant puppets would bend down and shake hands or touch little children and the kids wouldn't freak out, even though those things were huge and kind of freaky looking. I guess it was because they could actually see the person (much less freaky) operating the puppet. Which leads to part two of how amazing they were: even though you could see the puppeteer, it didn't take away at all from the illusion that they were really tall moving people/things. I love that parade. Thanks again for the link.

Thank you, Dan! This was definately the best parade Disney ever put on. Not only was the parade spectacular for its puppets and the music, but for the CM's that performed also. It was a great parade, and even the CM's that performed in the parade are unsure when/if a replacement will come to Epcot. The question really is: will there ever be a parade that could really replace ToN?

Thanks, Dan! My wife absolutely loved that parade and the music.

Gee, I am sitting here, watching and listening, singing to myself. What a wonderful spectacle Tapestry was. And gone now. :( I could listen to that music a thousand times (I probably have on the CD). The puppets, the drum wagon, the CM's, oh they were great!!!!!! Such a magical experience. So uplifting.

caseylou, truly, the Hey la parade.

Dan, you absolutely, 110% made my day!!! It was wonderful to relive such a magical Disney moment!!! That parade is my favorite also, and I doubt it can ever be replaced. Thanks again for sharing. :earsgirl:
