Yay, an update. How was the Chelsea Handler book? I think she is one of the funniest people around.

I am still reading the Chelsea book. I like it. She's hilarious. She talks alot about the s-e-x word. I accidentally forgot it on my business trip last week and had to read The Last Lecture in the middle. Quite the opposite, but also an awesome book.

Wow! you are leaving in just about a week! I wish I was that close on the OTHER side of my trip! Dyersburg is right up the road from Memphis! You were my neighbor for about 30 years! (well, assuming you're old enough )

So close, so close to Disney World!!!

I was trying to figure out what magazine Grandma Bonnie was reading, too!

I want to go on a Disney cruise also!!!

Yes, I want to get there! I'm not sure the magazine. Maybe she will let us know. My guess is InTouch, US or something like that. It won't be People.

I want to go on a cruise, but it probably won't be Disney for us. Dad loves to gamble, and I've been watching the previews of that new Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas this week. TWO Flowriders!!! And a zipline on board. And loft suites! I better stop myself.

I think it will be my iphone case as soon as he gets a new one. I just (finally) got an iPhone last week.

Saturday, August 9
Journey to Lake Buena Vista​

I don’t remember what everyone got.

I think Mom was most excited of all of us.

Don’t ask me what magazine Mom was holding. I have no idea. Surely it wasn’t Playgirl or Hot Male Bodies or something like that. Katie, again, was frustrated with me and my camera.[/CENTER]

It should be noted that Mom couldn’t have been reading a dirty magazine, since Jenny McCarthy and her son were on the cover. Or maybe not – wasn’t she once a playmate??​

Obviously, I bought a MAGAZINE before departure. I didn't realize what was on the back until later. I spent a lot of time trying to cover the photo on the back until it dawned on me that it might be entertaining for folks to see a short little gray haired old lady carrying a "questionable" magazine. And after all, my purpose in life is to entertain.... Isn't it?

Yeah, I am glad I get to inherit the pink case. Katie's case is also pink. You will see it later in the TR. I think we were all very happy (at least at this point - a little foreshadowing there?)

Thanks for the compliments. The pics get WAY better, I promise. I think that was an ad for some movie. I guess it didn't do very well, since none of us recognize it, huh?

I thought that little kiddo was so cute. I am not sure he spoke English, but either he or his mom said something that we all got a chuckle out of. So adorable!

The magazine was US or something similar. Anyway, the back was an ad for a movie and I think the guy in his skivvies is Rainn Wilson. But for some reason no one including myself was "reading" anything on that page.

Chris’s side mission for the duration of the trip was to find Katie an affordable, used Mitsubishi Eclipse. So if I had taken lots of pictures of him on the vacation, this is what they would look like:

Yay! I'm glad you're keeping up! (Not hard to do. I feel like I post updates so infrequently) LOL I had to re-read "digicam". My eyes moved too quickly and I thought it said something else that starts with a d and ends with an m and has three syllables. I was wondering what he's doing with your "that"!)

Part II, Prologue​

Previews of the Trip​

Before we board the plane, I thought I’d provide a little preview of things to come. Some things we will find later in the trip report:

- We had a favorite restaurant and a least-favorite restaurant.
- We canceled two ADRs and added one ADR.
- A Cast Member truly went “out of his way” for us.
- I have two new favorite characters.
- Chris picked up a surprising new hobby.
- We met a famous Cast Member at the Beach Club.
- Katie and Caitlin befriended a live animal.
- All but one of us received a special button.
- The Kitchen Sink became a bone of contention.
- We visited a Disney Icon soon to be Disney History.
- We only used two of our Water Fun and More experiences.
- We had an unofficial “Magical Moment”.
- Katie and Caitlin surprised me by participating in a traditional Disney vacation activity.
- We did not get to all of our “Not To Be Missed” activities.
- We learned some really fun trivia on the Keys to the Kingdom tour.
- “Do You Mind?” has a special meaning for our family now.
- Katie and Caitlin found creative ways to entertain themselves on buses and in lines.
- We overheard some “funniest comments” made by others.
- We rode some rides twice with no wait.
- We had excellent seats at one of the shows.
- We waited in line for a show, only to be cut off when the theatre was filled.
- One ride became a sentimental favorite for Katie.
- We experienced three different Disney night time shows in one evening.
- Mom got unlimited refills of a cherry coke.
- Some of us weren’t too excited about The Beverly.
- We found where all the Cast Members play on Tuesday nights.
- More than one ride broke down while we were on it.
- I planned a treat for everyone before La Nouba.
- We met the Crazy Bird Lady.
- We learned to hula.
- We each got a very meaningful souvenir (some different from others).
- A character tried to “steal” Katie.
- After much discussion, we were allowed to purchase a Mickey-ears hat with a forbidden name embroidered on it.

• What did we do before dinner? Slept! You guys have been running on empty for a while. 2nd choice -- walk around SAB and the water.
