Do you make any breads for Christmas - or only cookies?

Last year I didn't make any, but normally I do.. I buy the small foil loaf pans and always have an assortment ready to hand out to family and friends.. I'm not sure if I'll do them this year or not, but was wondering if others do and what your favorites are..

I usually make a few loaves. I make cranberry, blueberry, pumpkin, apple spice, nut and bananna. I like to make the mini loaf and slice them up for company and give them away.

I think they're a nice second offering to being "cookied to death" during the holidays - LOL.. Spread a little butter on the slices of certain breads and they're sooooo good!!

I love any kind of bread, banana, pumpkin, whatever, YUMMY. I am not a big fan of most people's Christmas cookies. I am weird about my cookies. But bring on the bread.

I have tried, but my cookies turn out hard & flat.

I do really good on the premade & precut cookie dough!

One year for Christmas I made a banana nut loaf ,went to the dollar store and bought a cutting board and a knife, wraped them up and it made a great gift.

I don't really make either. I make Oreo Truffles and thats all. I just made a batch of Peanut butter Oreo Truffles, and Mint Oreo Truffles. Tomorrow I'm going to make a batch of original flavor. I take these to potlucks and give them out as gifts in pretty little gift boxes.

I am a baker at a friend's local bakery so, yep, I have been baking many many many breads this season. My favorite would have to be the Stollen bread,tho I really like the pumpkin bread and banana bread.

I make 3 kinds-

Lemon Poppyseed
Pumpkin Cranberry (which is wonderful)
Banana Nut

I make mini loaves and give them to neighbors. Most say they enjoy it more than getting cookies.

Just bought my cranberries the other day so I am ready to bake!

I used to make banana bread each Christmas for my next door neighbor. This year I have new neighbors so I think I will try pumpkin bread along with the banana bread. Make a nice way to introduce yourself to the neighbors.

I bake sweet rolls rather than bread. DMIL was Swedish so I make Butterhorns. Got the recipe down to using the bread machine to make the dough. Much less work.

It's another thing I have to hide from DH in the freezer.

I usually make banana bread for Christmas morning. My Grandmother always had fresh baked banana bread at breakfast for us so I have continued the tradition.
