Do you look for villas with themed rooms?

I always try to book a villa/townhome with at least one themed room but it seems like by the time I look pickings are slim. Maybe because I don't plan trips very far out so all the best homes are taken? I dislike the generic "professional interior designer" blah that is in most vacation rentals.

Do you pay more if the home has a couple of really nice rooms (like one Harry Potter and one Mickey Mouse)? Do you think it actually matters to your kids' level of enjoyment or is it just overkill?

And if anybody has any great homes to recommend that would be great.

I would book one if my kids were Interested. They were not...they said it was too babyish. They just wanted tbs. When I was looking in Windsor...all I could find were themed rooms. I was trying to find non themed. I booked one with a princess and star wars theme..lol.but it had give bedrooms..so my tween didn't have a baby room..lol.

Our kids are young and love the themed rooms. It adds a bit more of the "magic" to the trip. We always look for a home with a nice pool and game room that the kids will have fun in. Comfortable beds are a plus for us also.

We have been staying in Windsor Hills for the past few years and love it there. Aside from having nice homes to rent, the resort amenities are great.

We found a home that we rent just about every time we stay and I highly recommend it. www.villaparklane.com We deal directly with the owner and have always had a great experience.

But like the OP mentioned, booking late does leave you with less options when looking for a nice property.
