Do you like to read???

I love to read!! Mostly christian fiction (Karen Kingsbury, Beverly Lewis), and "chick lit". Also Danielle Steel and romance novels. I think it is so relaxing to get swept away in a good book.

My sister, on the other hand, went to a bookstore with me and said "All these books are giving me a headache!!" She would rather do anything else than read!!

I come from a family of big readers. My parents, my cousins, my grandparents, even my great grandmother--all of us love to read so growing up I just thought everyone read all the time. Christmas at my aunt's was always fun because the extended family would all get books as gifts and then pass them around.

I'm very happy that my dd, 18, also loves to read although she says her friends think it's weird. DH is a reader, as well.

I read in the morning before work, at lunch, and before I go to bed. I go through about 3 books a week. I have very wide tastes--literature, popular fiction, mysteries, sci-fi, non-fiction.

I adore reading! I read a lot of Christian fiction as well, but I also love classics (can't beat a bit of Nathaniel Hawthorne and Edgar Allan Poe) and novels for television shows. By that, I don't mean the novelizations that are basically episode retellings, I mean the brand new stories that are written as books, such as the Doctor Who novel series.

But my favorite contemporary author by far is Ted Dekker. Wow, that man can write!

I looove reading. I'm one of those readers that once I pick something up, I can't put it back down.

My tastes are broad. The one thing I can't stand is trashy novels. I find them boring and ridiculous. They make me want to stab myself. Other than that...I'll read most anything.

I totally love to read!! Have you ever read any Francine Rivers? Her books are wonderful!
I love Karen Kingsbury as well and I do enjoy Beverly Lewis.
Lynn Austin is another one of my favorites!

I love to read, but 4 years of college and 2 more of graduate school just about sucked all the joy out of reading for me. Every once in a while, though, I go on a book reading binge, but it's fairly rare and always for really dumb books.

I enjoy reading but rarely feel in the mood for anything heavy. I like to relax and just read easy stuff most of the time. But no romances please!

I also love to read about other places. The world fascinates me.

I read just about anything and everything I can get my hands on from teen chick lit (Princess Diaries, that sort of thing) to true crime (The Monster of Florence was good) and everything in between.

I love to read! But I must say, I go in spurts. Sometimes I don't read for months. Other times I finish 3 novels in a couple of weeks! I read a lot as a teen then sort of stopped when work/kids/etc. came along. When the youngest turned 5 and things got easier around the house for me, I started to read again.

No English book libraries here.... I MISS the library! But I've found friends who read and we trade! My suitcase is always full of books after a trip to the USA!

DH is not a reader. All 3 of my boys ARE READERS I love seeing them curled up with a book!

I've always loved to read, but have only been able to get back to reading voraciously within the past year. I will read anything that is "good"! I don't discredit any category...there are good books in every genre. I have a weakness for vampire stories (but the hype surrounding the subpar plot of Twilight can go away at any time now, thankyouverymuch!). It's funny because my DH comes from a long line of librarians, but he doesn't read much.

Reading is my main addiction in life. Usually have a coupla books going at a time. Just tonight confessed that upon purchase of a new car, I immediately read the entire owner's manual!!!!

Cereal boxes, Popular Mechanics, Playboy, recipes, the DIS...everything is fair game!

Thank goodness I'm a fast reader.

i chose other... i'm not into reading (however, i will read something that interest me)... but i don't "hate" reading. hate is a strong word.

I have dyslexia so reading is difficult for me. I certainly don't hate it. In fact, if I have a lot of time and its uninterupted, then I like reading, but reading can be extremely frustrating as well
