Yes, in fact he is why I'm at my company and why I will almost certainly stay for as long as he does (he's set to retire at the end of 2014). He is one of the finest men I know. I report to his COO, so I interact with him a lot (multiple times a day) and I have never seen him treat anybody with anything other than great respect and dignity. He is brilliant and charming, and while not falsely modest, he is anything but conceited or self-centered.
At my past employer, I had a similar level of access to the CEO, and while he was always very "nice" to me, the way he treated the junior and "powerless" employees disgusted me and is the reason I jumped so quickly when recruited to my current employer.
