I cannot stand seafood (although I suppose I can eat a little tuna fish as long as there is one part tuna for 5 parts mayo). Growing up in Mass. didn't help. My family all loved seafood, and because it was very readily available they would eat it quite often. Of course I was forced to at least try everythig one time. Probably the worse stuff for me would have to be shrimp. It would literally make be vomit.
What about you? Do you like Seafood?

Some of it is okay. I like clam chowder, I like squid and I LOOOOVE shrimp, but that's about it. Don't really care for the rest.

Growing up, I was one of those kids who'd go to a seafood restaurant with my family and order a hamburger. :rotfl: These days, the only seafood I like is shrimp, some tuna, and fish sticks. ;) I really do love shrimp, though.

Love shrimp, scallops, clam strips, crab legs and lobster!! Yum!!

No way - I can't even look at it without gagging.:scared:

I cannot stand seafood. It literally will make me sick to my stomach to smell or eat. I don't even like the peel/crack and eat types to look at... all of it is 100% nasty to me.

Nope; I don't like seafood. It is funny. I was born and raised in south Louisiana too (moved from there in 2002)--"seafood capital USA." Growing up there, I was definitely exposed to all kinds of seafood. I don't like any of it! I have tried it many times, but I just can't stand that fishy, seafood taste. DH has even tried to sneak a lobster/queso dip in on me because he knows I LOVE cheese. I tasted that seafood right away! So it isn't mental at all. I just don't like the taste of it!
I can make myself eat fried crawfish, since it is tiny, as long as it is coated in tartar sauce!!!!! That is the only seafood I will eat.
OK!, I am also one that will go into a seafood restaurant and order something different. I always order the chicken dish, though. Thankfully most seafood restaurants serve some type of grilled chicken dish.

I was a hamburger at the seafood restaurant kid, too. Then I met my DH, who grew up deep sea fishing and working on his dad's charter boat, I finally started liking it. Now I love tuna (the steaks, not the stuff in the can), flounder, striper, salmon, talipia, just about anything. My parents also had allergy concerns about me as a kid, so I didn't try shellfish until adulthood. Now I LOVE it. Shrimp, crab, lobster...yumm! I always so shrimp cocktail at every party and family get-together.

Oh, and if anyone wants a GREAT recipe for a sauce for fish, I have one from my ILs. It's best for the meatier kinds of fish, not the lighter ones.

ETA: We introduced our kids to seafood, and fishing, early, and they both love it (well, not shellfish yet, but maybe when they're older). They even both tried and like the talipia that Costco had out for samples yesterday :rotfl: !

I really don't like seafood. I'll eat tuna, but that's it. Thanks to Happy Feet, I now tell people that I'm morally opposed to eating fish b/c it takes away food from the penguins. ;)

Yes I love seafood, mainly Lobster, shrimp and scallops however. I do like most fish fillets like Salmon, Swordfish, a good shark steak is usually really good. Won't do oysters, clam or squid however, I have to draw the line there.

I love shrimp, crab and tuna salad. I think I would probably like lobster if I ever had a good, fresh one. I'm trying to add more fish to my diet, and like it ok as long as it's not too fishy-tasting. Love tilapia, but hate cat fish and salmon. So I guess I'm about half and half.

Nope, not really. I like tuna, just the can kind and I like Long John Silver's filets. That's it! But I'm not sure either of those really count?!:lmao:
