Do you like Raven (Inspired by the Hilary Duff board)

I really like her and her make-up line. She is a really good role model as she isn't to skinny and a good actress IMHO.

Aw, I have a soft spot for Raven since she was my little girl on the Cosby show. But today...I love her quirkiness and I think that makes her a great role model. Not too "perfect" you know?

Don't really care for her. She always has come across to me, in her older years, as a spoiled brat. She doesn't seem very down to earth to me at all.

Granted it is nice to see a not so skinny girl doing well, but I wish she were just as beautiful inside as she is on the out.

We love Raven! Her show is pretty good ... funny, goofy, not too grown up. DD used to like Lizzie McGuire, but now she prefers Raven. She has a great voice and good comedic skills. Also, her supporting cast is entertaining.

I get the terrible actress part, but having no knowledge of her other than seeing one or two episode of her show and her bit part in "Princess Diaries 2", why is she a bad role model?

I find it funny that on the Mariah Carey thread MANY people mentioned how much weight she gained and how "fat" she was. Yet, on the Hilary Duff thread, many people make mention of how "real" Raven is because she isn't skinny.

My 9 year old DD loves her and watches and tapes her shows everyday and has Raven clothes. I'm glad she's my DDs role model, BUT I can't stand her. She over acts and is overly animated and I find it so so irritating!!

Oh yes! How gross Hilary Duff is because she's skinny (she grew up guys, she looks beautiful), but then let's laugh at how much weight Mariah Carey gained!!!

I think she's cute and I'm 33 years old. I'll often make my poor DH sit through her show at night.

As far as her being a role model...should kids really be using "movie stars" as role models?

Wow, I didn't know that...I only read the first couple of posts on that thread. In no way is Mariah Carey fat!! That's just rediculous. And so what if she is heavier now. Big deal.

Although, I do not like her choice in dresses (or lack thereof) whether she's skinny or not, they just don't leave much to the imagination!

She passed the "not so skinny" stage awhile ago. Both weight extremes are unhealthy and make bad role models IMO.

Agree on the not so beautiful inside. Many reports of her divaness.

I think Raven is great. Her show cracks me up and I think she is a great actor *for what she does.*

As far as Hollywood role models (if kids have to have them..), I think she's the best of the best. I love that she's not a stick figure and could care less. (BTW- I think Mariah Carey looks fine, I never said any of those things mentioned)

We love Raven! Yes, I think she over acts, but the show is over the top, so I think it works.
Is it just me, or does it look like she's had a breast reduction? She looks great this season--not that she didn't before!
