DH and I have decided to try Marakesh this May. For those who have eaten here, what'd you think? What did you order? I like Greek food, olives and such, so the menu looked similar to me.

My husband, son and I ate there a while back and loved it. Son was 7 at the time and was able to get plain pasta, husband had some lamb dish which he loved and I have the shish-ka-bob which was also very good. I think the best part was seeing my son's face when the belly dancer showed up!!;)

What kind of shish-ka-bob is it? What's it served with? I'm excited now,

I love the Jasmina salad, the vegetable couscous and the Bastilla for dessert was great!

My family loves Marrakesh! Not only have our meals been very good it is just a really nice setting. The servers have been pleasant and helpful. And the sitar player and belly dancer are very entertaining.

I remember what we have had the past two trips to Marrakesh.. I have had the vegetable cous cous which was very good! The vegetables reminded me a lot of some my mom would make when I was a kid. On that same trip my husband had the chicken kebabs. He really enjoyed it.

The trip after that was just my husband and son one night.. That time around my husband tried the lemon chicken with preserved lemon. He really liked that dish and is thinking about ordering it again when we go back. My son had the shish kebabs and still raves about it. He also really liked that it was served with hummus. We eat a lot of hummus in our house.

If you haven't already gone over their menu, you should!

It's a must do for us every year. Many years ago on our first visit here, we had a horrible :scared1: experience. We liked it enough however, to give it one more try. A great deal of the problem was the server, who we have not seen again. I think we have probably eaten there at least 8 times since. Just goes to show, you can have a bad experience anywhere.

Love it! The couscous and tabouli are amazing. The shishkabobs and meat are very tasty!
Good choice!

It was my favourite restaurant until a few days ago - just returned, and I was so disapponted. They have seriously cut the portions down in size, so that the entrees look lost on the plate. The couscous which is normally great, was undercooked. Yuck! We had both of the feasts for lunch.

Lamb was still tender, as were veggies, but sadly after dining here for about 10 years, we won't be back for awhile.

Tiger :(

We went there the last time as a party of 7 with some very picky eaters. It was one of our favorite Restaurants of the 9 day trip. My DFIL, who thinks that exotic is a BBQ pork chop, even liked it. The lamb is terrific.

My family has eaten there several times and enjoyed it, but the most recent time in December 2010 it didn't seem as good as I had remembered it. :confused3
The chicken bastille is delicious though!

HOooonnnnnestly.... we won't be back. In our opinion, the food was $$$ for what you got, and the belly dancer... well... I have never been a fan of that type of thing. :confused3

I enjoyed Marrakesh. The waiter was extremely friendly and there was a belly dancer which was cool. My only complaint was the dessert. Baclava? I can't remember what it was called. We were on the dining plan and this dessert was very sweet and too big. I felt bad because I really couldn't finish it. I don't like wasting food but had no choice. Everything else was VERY good.

DH and I love Marrakesh! Not only is the food always wonderful but the entertainment can not be beat! I always get the royal feast, the flavors are divine. The service here has always been top-notch, super friendly people. This is one of the most underrated restaurants in Epoct IMHO.
