I am curious to see how many people like candles.I am fixing to start selling candles.I am just wondering if it will be worth my time.Everyone I know loves candles and I will do really well for awhile but I am wondering if they will eventually get tired of them.

How often do you buy candles?

Please give me your input on this.Do any of you sell candles?

I'll probably be in the minority, but I really don't like any scented candle that is on the market today. The one candle with a "smell" that I do love is a beeswax or sandalwood candle, because they remind me of when I worked in a house museum and we lit the house by candlelight at Christmas. I love the smell of sandalwood or beeswax. Anything else, though, I just can't stand. No "relaxation" candles for me!!!

I am happy for anyone who does like these, though, and it seems there is a lot to choose from these days!!!! I will buy candles occasionally, but usually at a store and not at a home party or anything like that. I like the Colonial tapers and I use them frequently, especially in the winter.

Hope others are more encouraging - and that your business really lights up!!! Haha - get it???

I love candles. My favorite would be Yankee Candles, but it does depend on the scent. I prefer the big 22oz. jars since I am able to light them and not really worry about them and they last long. Scents that I prefer are bakery items and fruity smells like strawberry and blueberry. I don't care for florals and herbal scents. I do buy them online every so often since we don't have a Yankee Candle store here, but I do also buy other brands and tarts.

I love candles. My favorite candles are Yankee Candles in Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Spice. They smell so good. :goodvibes

I like candles. I like Yankee Candles, but I really like Colonial at Home candles better. I buy candles several times a year, but many large candles at a time.
Good luck on your new job.

I really love candles and i think a lot of people do, they are very relaxing and i love all the different scents you can get them in. Mmmmmm!

I like candles. PartyLite's my favorite...used to sell them. However, they discontinued my favorite scents! Haven't bought them in a while now. Thank goodness I still have a bunch! :)

I have two on electric candle warmers in my house pretty much all the time. Both are Yankee Candle. Spiced Pear in teh kitchen and Fresh Cut Roses in the Master Bedroom.

I don't burn them due to the soot they release, makes a mess of your walls.

I buy candles seasonally. Like lighter scents in the summer and heavier ones in the winter. The only ones I burn year round are my Yankees- clean cotton in the bedroom and hazlenut coffee in the kitchen. Those smell fine all year :)

I love candles!!!! But I have been using the tarts lately, much cleaner. My favs are Yankee and Old Virginia Candle Company.

I voted sometimes. As long as its not a very strong scent, if its to strong than I can't breath(Asthma and Allergies). I rarely ever burn candles, but once in awhile my dh likes to burn one in his computer room and is favorite is Apple Pie.

I love Yankee Candles and that is the only brand i buy. I am frequently in Yankee Candle buying candles and tarts. :)

If you start selling beeswax candles, I'm in. I can't find them locally, and last time I checked I couldn't find them on the net either. Most scented candles really bother me.

DVCLiz, where do you get beeswax candles?

I love candles.....BUT only Yankee. I have tried all the others, and nothing compares.
I buy them........TOO often  They are everywhere in m y home and I have enough to give as gifts for years!

Ah, Barb, my sister!!! We used to order them from the gift shop of our local historical museum. I have a bunch left over because we used to replace them when they got too short. I'd bring loads of them home and burn them - love that smell!!!

I just looked in my candle drawer and I see that I have a dozen beeswax tapers, so I must have bought them somewhere! The only place I can think of would be a field trip I chaperoned with my daughter's class to Old Salem, in Winston-Salem, NC. Try their web site - I think they might have them. If not, go ahead and order their Moravian cookies - just the best ever!!!!

I voted "sometimes". I used to like Yankee but their scents have gotten kind of "fake" to me. At the recommendation of this board, I bought a White Barn Candle in the Basil scent. OMG, was it heavenly. But they discontinued the Basil and I am not interested in their other scents. So, for now I have no candles.

I would probably not buy candles from a party. There are just too many other viable options on the regular market that are probably cheaper. If you want to get into selling stuff, I think you need to find a product that isn't easily available in a mall.

I love scented candles, the two brands I have the most of are Yankee Candle and Village Candle. I have a few White Barns too.

I just lit a YC "Fresh Comfort" jar candle.
