Just love the place, and the interaction with the entertainment is great:thumbsup2

we were there last week and really enjoyed our meal ...the company at our table were outgoing and we had fun ...that and the entertainment.....my favorite is not there anymore but I loved potato leek soup.....this time we had cauliflower soup.......still good but not my favorite.....I tried some new items and it was very good.....always like the salmon and chicken and some of the sausages.........I say anyone that has not been ...give it a try.....

Great original themeing is a priority for us and we too are a sucker for the inside out theme such as Sci-fi and San Angel Inn (although we haven't been back in years once they started serving Tostito's).

Of course the food isn't as good as my German Grandmother's was but I still really like it and there are plenty of items for a picky eater.

The beer sampler is great.

We have reservations there for the first time next Sunday. It will be me, DH, and DS 2 who LOVES to dance. Can we make seating requests in advance, ie, close to the dance floor? Or, to be seated with another family (I'd be much more comfortable with another family with crazy kids like mine than a bunch of adults lol)?

Thanks!

Allison

Love it! But we will only eat dinner there because they do not serve their yummy rouladin at lunch.

Ate there last Tuesday evening and everyone in our group of 10 had a blast. The kids LOVED dancing when the band was on (and so did my parents actually) and the adults loved the "German sized" beers. As far as the food, I enjoyed the cold entrees more than the hot but I wasn't disappointed in any it.

We've been going to the Biergarten for 25 years and will be there again next month. It's fun with a great atmosphere. I think it was better back when it had menu table service, but the buffet is still one of the best at WDW, at least by current standards. It has slipped some recently, but probably not as much as many others. The tables seat 8 so a party of 2 or 4 will be seated with another party or parties. Most of the time (almost all) we have been seated with fun people. I've lost count, but this will probably be at least our 30th time there.

Liked the atmosphere/entertainment, could not stand the food :( But I booked it for dh and he enjoyed the food - kids and I ate off the kids buffet :rotfl:

LOVED LOVED LOVED Biergarten - and I'm not even a beer drinker! Neither is my wife and she loved it equally as well. I just did Biergarten on my last Disney trip this past April and my only regret was that I didn't discover it sooner! The greatest thing about Biergarten is that you get both a good hearty meal and musical entertainment, so double the fun. The meats and roasted potatoes are simply amazing and you can eat as much as you want. You also get treated to a very German concert featuring a brass band, German bell playing/ringing, and those long thin Alpenhorns (think Ricola). So start singing "Edelweiss" and make that reservation for the Biergarten today!

We have always LOVED the Biergarten. However, on our trip this past April, it was less than acceptable. When we go back in November, for the first time ever, the Biergarten will not be on our list of places to eat.

We had my dad in a ECV because his balance is quite poor and walking any distance tires him out quite quickly. We were asked if he was able to do a step or two. Since he can, we said yes. So where do they seat us? On the first level (more than a step or two), and all the way at the end of the row! The furthest possible seats from the door! Of course, by the time you realize where they are seating you, there's not much to do about it (don't want to make the disabled guy walk all the way back at that time).

Then they wanted us to move in all the way, leaving the seats on the end available for another party. The man has mobility issues!! Those tables and chairs are too close together for someone who has an issue standing, let alone walking, to be in the middle and have to climb over others to get to out and then back in. Of course, they did put another party at the table with us, even after letting the host know that this would be an issue. Just to be clear, dad did not get up to get his own food. My mom and I did that for him. However, he did need to get up and use the restroom. What made me angry was that the restaurant was nowhere near full; in fact, I'd say it was less than 1/2 full.

On top of that, our waiter was less than attentive. We were a party of 6, so he knew he was getting his 18% gratuity regardless of whether or not he gave us good service. Additionally, the food was not as good as our past visits, and there seemed to be less of a selection. I don't know if it was the time of the day or if there have been some other changes behind the scenes. Normally, we would have enjoyed the show, but dad was so miserable that this wasn't possible.

We did learn our lesson though. Never again will we say he can walk on his own power down a step or two, especially at the Biergarten.

DH likes to stop there on every trip. We will only go for dinner though because last time we went for lunch we discovered that they have a more limited choice for the buffet and there was no music or dancing either at the time we went.
