Do you leave a tip at buffet meals?

Most states do not pay tipped employess minimum wage - only 7 of the states do. I couldn't copy it, but you can scroll down to the bottom http://www.njpp.org/rpt_minwageadcom.html

Back in the day, I made $2.25 an hour, here in NJ, with the 4th highest COL.

I remember $2.10 not that long ago while I went to college and waitressed at night. I know someone who worked at Le Cellier (this year) and made $3.85 per hour. I remember those days well, so I tend to be a good tipper ;)

We just arrived home last night from our Holiday trip to the world. We had a great time and went to many different restaurants. We tipped a minimum of 18% in cash for each ADR...even those that didn't deserve it.

I will say that our service at several of the buffets (Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Faire, and Tusker House) was MUCH better than the service we received at Le Cellier. I have never been more disappointed in a meal. Our waitress asked if we would be dining on the DDP and when we responded yes her attitude became indifferent. My husbands steak was WAY overdone and we barely saw her. We have been there before and received great service but I am hesitant about adding this to our "must do" list in the future.

Sorry about rambling...this is just my two cents.
