to Trail's End Buffet from the Wilderness Lodge? We're staying at VWL in July and would like to try out Trail's End. I think there is a boat from the Lodge to the Fort Wilderness campgrounds. I don't want to drive to the main parking lot for the bus shuttle.

My question is, is Trail's End within walking distance from where the boat docks?

Yes it is a short walk from the FW boat dock. There is also a walking path from WL to FW but it is about a mile long I think.

The boat runs WL -> FW -> Contemporary, or possibly the reverse of that. So, on one of the trips you will have to make a short stop at the Contemp. But it is a short relaxing ride, especially at night.
