Do you know of any, getting to know you, activities (ages 5-17)

We did this in one of my graduate classes early this semester and I thought it was pretty lame at the time, but we all laughed! It really worked, because I remember all of my classmates' names now.

You start out in a circle and go through and everyone tells their name. Every other person or so, you have them repeat everybody else's names.

After you go through the circle, you start back at the beginning and then everyone says their name and does an action while saying their name. For example, they can wave, rub their tummy, do a dance move, etc. Then every person in the circle does their own name/action and goes through and does everybody else's as well.

Halfway through the circle, we started coming up with some pretty bizarre actions and it was hilarious!

You could play the toilet paper game...

You take a roll of toilet paper and pass it around. Everyone takes as much (or as little) as they want. Then for every square that you have you have to say something about yourself. For example, if I was holding 4 squares of TP I might say my name, where I'm from, my age, and maybe that I have a cat. Everyone has to say there name and then after that they can say whatever they want about themselves...you can really learn a lot about the people that take a huge chunk of the TP.
