Do You Know Anything About Xenical?

Does anyone know anything about Xenical? A friend at work knows a private doctor that will prescribe this (at a cost) to people who wish to loose weight. But before I think about going I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it or has any experience of taking it.

Hi You can get this on the NHS if you see your doctor and can show him that you can loose weight, i think you have to loose 5lbs he will prescribe it.

I have tried it and what it does is take the fat out of the food you eat, but it can be very embarassing, and it leaks from you bowel, this is so that you control the fat intake.

It does work for some and not others. ANNIE

Being a large chappy I did a lot of research into this and yes the major side effect is if you eat some thing high fat content the fat just slivers right out again, "loosing control of your bodily functions" I think the term they quote, but apparently you soon learn not to eat the fatty stuff, at least not too far from bathroom . I think it is generally regarded as to work hence its availability on the NHS.

I asked my doctor if she would prescribe this for me.As Annie said I would have to show I could lose weight beforehand,I think it was 7lb.I did this, but then bottled out of going back for the Xenical I've gained more weight now and only wish there was a miracle cure

I've been using Xenical for just over three months now and by combining it with a low fat diet have lost over 1.5 stone
However as others have mentioned it is important to be aware of the side effects
When it is issued you must lose a specific percentage of your bodyweight during each 3 month period to be allowed to continue
I have found it to be a great help but I think it is best done under medical supervision
