That would explain things because I get SSDI and have never had to show any info regarding my bank accounts etc.
you had enough quarters in the system! this is something i try to drive home to people when they say that 'piddly part time/short term' jobs are'nt 'worth it'. if you pay into ss from those jobs they count towards the quarters that make the difference between ssi and ssdi-and when that can mean a check 3 times higher on a month to month basis those 'piddly' jobs pay off in the end
