Anyone ever stay at PP concierge? We are going this next week and are hoping to use this as our breakfast and snacks. Since DL does not offer refillable mugs we thought we could use this for our drinks as well. Can anyone offer any more insight on this.

Also, anyone ever let their kids wear crocs on the plane. The thought of taking off and putting back on shoes for all three kids UH....
Thanks
Julie

You are allowed to take out 2 drinks per person every time you leave. You could eat breakfast and a light lunch. Its nice.

Hi,
Just came back from a week at PP concierge. They don't "count" the amount of drinks you take each time your there. We would take two waters or pops at a time back to the room to put in the fridge. We ended up with a surplus of water and pop. Also you can fill up the coffee cups that have lids with ice and pop or coffee or hot coco or what ever. They always let me take this into DL never even was questioned. We also stocked up on the crustables, and large yummy cookies. The breakfast and wine and cheese spread at night where more than enough to fill up myself and hubby and sixteen year old. The CMs where great we came home with friends that we cant wait to go back and see.

This was also our experience. We also used the concierge for "dinner". We would arrive 10 min. prior to Happy Hour & eat a meat appetizer & snacks (& DW would have a glass of wine or two. By the time the HH crowd rolled in, we were finished & off to the park for our evening tour.

Have a great time. :thumbsup2

How much is it to upgrade to the concierge room? Any chance parking is included in this upgraded amount?

Parking at PP is included in the room rate (actually they charge a "resort fee" which i guess covers it). But it's good for day of arrival & day of departure. (our last trip we arrived at 8am on a Sunday & left at 10pm on a Tuesday.)

Re: Concierge upgrade....it depends. If you got a deal on your room, (& there is no deal on concierge) the upgrade could be alot. I'd ask (before & during) your trip. I'd put a $60 - $90 per night value on it fwiw.

Hi Julie!
We just got back from PP concierge. We used the concierge lounge for breakfast every day. They have bagels, croissants, pastries, cereals, fruits, milk, juices, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, just a nice assortment of breakfast stuff. Breakfast starts at 6:30 and I think goes until 10:00. From 10:00 until about 5:00, sometimes a couple minutes earlier, they have uncrustables, goldfish crackers, pretzels, trail mix, bagged chips, and big cookies. About 4:45-5:00, they bring in the hot appetizer, cheese and crackers, veggies and dip, chips and salsa, and some type of dessert. The uncrustables stay out. The first night we were there the hot appetizer was mini hamburgers, and they were really good, we had that for dinner that night, as two of those was about the size of a regular burger, so that along with the veggies, etc. was more than enough, especially with Mickey shaped chocolate dipped coconut macaroons for dessert, yum! Other hot appetizers while we were there were pork egg rolls, chicken terriyaki skewers, and chicken quesadillas. One night we weren't there at that time so I don't know what they had. The pork rolls were okay, and DH said the chicken terriyaki skewers were good, no one had the quesadillas because we were getting ready to leave. Wine and beer is available in the evenings, and the fridge under the serving area is stocked all day with cartons of milk, apple juice boxes, bottles of water, and cans of soda. Whenever we left the lounge we took drinks with us so we always had plenty for our room and to take to the parks. The only drinks we bought at the parks were the first day because the airline lost our stroller and I wasn't carrying around drinks, and then whatever drinks came with the kids meals. By the second day we had our stroller again. All the counter service places will give you a cup of ice with a lid and a straw, we just poured our coke from the cans into those.

As for the plane, we wore our crocs for that very reason, definitely made it much easier!

Ditto what Hound said. The AP rate that we received was only $20 more a day. And let me tell you we saved around $100 every day. We will be there in December as well and have the same rate.:cloud9:

Thanks All, We are really excited now, this all sounds great!!! Can't wait, I'll have to let you know how our vacation goes. Thanks again for all the good info.
Julie

They flat-out told us during our PP stay that we could park until midnight on our check-out day. That was VERY convenient.

This is wonderful, comprehensive discription. Very helpful.

Glad you got it!! Unfortunately, I wrote your address down only on the envelope and as I was dropping it into the mailbox, realized I now didn't have it to send your kids a postcard. I was thinking I would go back into my PMs and get it, but I never did, sorry about that:(
