I swear, I wasn't going to start any new threads for awhile, but, I just had to ask this pressing question...

Do you ever hide stuff around your house, such as: small gifts, candy, money, or even office supplies;) , but then when you need them...you can't remember where you hid them??

I do this ALOT!

Anyone else?

I don't forget where I put things, just what I have. In the case of birthday, Christmas, Easter type things I pick up all year long for the kids. When I finally pull everything out and look at it, it's kind of like WOW.

When I was pregnant with DS2, he was due in February and it got to be time to start shopping for Christmas. When we finally unpacked all the Christmas stuff to start wrapping, I found that I bought "the baby" 3 of the same little frog rattle. I really liked it -- so much so that I just kept buying it over and over each time I saw it. :D

I hide things, but I usually remember where. I'm sure it will be worse, when I get older. My Mom stuffs things all over and forgets all about them. Then she tears up the house searching for it. I'm sure I'll end up the same way.

Yep.

DH just got one of his Christmas presents last weekend. He had a wallet that did not have one of those little picture holder plastic things so he was just carrying DS's pictures around and they were getting worn around the edges. Well I figured I would pick him up one for Christmas so I bought it and put it up. Well just last weekend I was giving DH some new pictures of DS that we had just taken when he mentioned that he really needed to get a picture holder. I asked him what he did with the one I got him for Christmas? Turns out that I have never given it to him. Oops! I went and got it and told him Merry Christmas! :p

This year Santa forgot he had colored pencils, stocking stuffers stashed in the glove compartment of the car.

Definitely! And I recently found the presents I bought for my sister's birthday LAST YEAR! And I've FINALLY found a place for DS's birthday presents that he hasn't discovered!! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I've done that a couple of times. However, my mother does all the time which isn't too bad because we wind up receiving Christmas presents a few weeks or even months afer Christmas!

I hide money from my wife, candy from the kids, and often cannot remember where!

One year while cleaning out the garage I found 2 old Christmas presents.

Yep, do it all the time... mostly with cards I find early and "put away" to send later

Are you kidding? That's a daily routine for me, LOL!
I am forever losing things that i put in a safe place. Usually much later, I find them. I have a two years worth of birthday cards that I never sent to my poor brother.:o

LOL Becka sounds like me. I bought my 12 yr old a shirt for Christmas and I found it sometime at the end of Jan, so he got a belated gift. I have to hide my stuff cause my 2 oldest cna be very nosey then I hide the stuff so well I forget where I stuck it.
Dh is used tome asked "have you seen _____"? And he never has a clue where I stuck it.

do I have to admit it? I mean can I just say yeah I know what you mean, but not admit to it

Yes, I must hide the catnip. I left the cabinet door open a tiny bit once. It was just enough for Cali to stick her paw in and grab the catnip.....destoying the bag and leaving catnip everywhere in the kitchen. I know it was Cali, my baby boy Simba is innocent! :teeth:

Yep, I have been known to do this! :o

I like it when I "find" that long lost item, especially when I'm not even looking for it in the first place! :)

Yes, I do this all the time, too!! One Christmas I wrote down all the various places I hid things and then LOST THE LIST!!

I'm with helenabear on this one - I keep buying birthday cards, anniversary cards too early, then misplacing them! My uncle's birthday is today, & I still can't find the card that I bought for him!
