Something from your TEEN years that you jsut CAN'T throw away?

My daughter is cleaning her room and I use her closet for a few things and she brought down my old jean jacket with fringes and said "WHAT IS THIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSS?"

I explained to her that it is something that I had when I was a bit older than she is and that I just can't get rid of that because of it being one of my favorite things from that era.

And she said "you are NOT going to keep that are you?"

But of COURSE, lol, then I asked if SHE wanted it, well, we KNOW the answer to THAT question...

Just thought that was comical!

I have a pair of jeans and a sweater that I wore in 11th grade and the dress I wore in my senior pictures....both are 19/20 years old respectively. I also have my diary from those years about all of the boys I "was in love" with and a few trinkets and pictures of friends. And of course DH and I both have our yearbooks.

EEEK!! I forgot about those things... I have my PROM dress that I keep meaning to burn along with the wedding dress that I wasted money on, lol.

My daughter found my old diary in a box of my old books and decided to "add" to it. She started a page that said "Today I" and that was it, lol. It wasn't a diary that I kept up with faithfully, so it isn't THAT important.

Oh the memories.............

How ironic...my Mom just cleaned out her attic and found a bag that contained a story that my best friend Rhonda and I had wrote when we were freshman in 1984. We would pass it back and forth in between classes and each add a few pages at a time. I cannot bring myself to throw the darn thing away. I had totally forgotten about it! Oh, the days of Don Johnson (her crush) and John Taylor (Duran Duran- my crush). Maybe I'll read through it tonight! I haven't seen Rhonda since she moved away junior year. If I could find her now I could actually tell her that last Nov. I actually met John Taylor!!! SHE would understand!!!
