Do you have to leave separate tip while on DDP?

This will be our first time on the DDP and I want to know if it includes tips or do we have to leave that separately? Also can we put it on our room key?
 
Tip is only included in a few of the DDP locations... Almost every restaurant does not include tip. You can leave the tip on your room key though.
 
gratuities are not included on the dining plan this year except at a couple of locations. If your party is 6 or over I think they add in the gratuity to your bill already so check your bill:)
 
For those who have been on DDP this year with parties of six or more - does it come to you with a total to pay? We have three parties that total 11 and first time where DDP did not pay for tip...

Late Jan/early Feb.... when we got the check they added in the gratuity to it.
So you have to pay it oop.

Ok can the bill be seperated? We are also a party of 11, but 3 different families. I understand the tip will be added. However, my BIL and family will probably get extra drinks, appy's and such and we do not, it is just to much food. I do not want to have to tip for what can add up on their extras. Can we tell the server we are on the DDP but need 3 different bills, one for each group?

when we were there we were a party of 16 (multiple families getting together) and we just did one check...which didn't work out to well for me, because I only drank the milkshake included in the plan & just about everyone else had a couple of drinks... on the bright side...we had a great time!:dance3:
 
Yes, you can get separate checks if you tell the CM upfront. Each check will have the 18% calculated on its own total....

They actually prefer it this way. If you order by room grouping then they take one key for each check and you're all set. We went in December 2005 and there wer 9 of us total split into three rooms. They would take the orders by family though we were all seated together and gave us separate checks at the end. This was perfect because at the time DH and I had DDE and would apply that to our wine--none of the others drank and I didn't want anyone else picking up our expenses.

Thanks for the help. My FIL and MIL will be more at ease with that. Just charge it to the room and pony up at the end of the trip.
