Do you have keratin?

I used a groupon for keratin back in Sept and I LOVE it! However, my gray hair is starting to show. I want to color my hair but I am afraid the keratin will get ruined. Anyone done this? I called the salon, she said go ahead and color but she was also trying to "sell" me a new appointment for more kertain at the same time and it is expensive,so not sure about this.

Anyone color their hair with keratin? Did it ruin it?

I had teh keratin treatment done twice(love it!) and still color my hair. No problems at all with it ruining the keratin

I get my hair colored every 3 weeks and I've been doing keratin treatments for 2 years. I've had no problems.

I had the keratin treatment done in July and get my hair colored every 6 weeks and highlighted every other appt. I'm getting my next keratin treatment tomorrow. Your treatment should last about 3 months if you are using a gentle shampoo. You can get the roots touched up without a problem. You shouldn't need more keratin yet, she is trying to upsale you.

According to my stylist, you should have your color done either at the same appointment as your keratin treatment (right before the keratin), or at least two weeks later. I always do it two weeks later because otherwise that's a really long appointment. And the same shampoos that are good for color-treated hair are good for keratin-treated hair as well. I alternate between Coppola Keratin shampoo and Paul Mitchell Awapuhi shampoo.

Oh, and it's WAY to early for more keratin. Mine lasts months.
