Do you have Directv?

DH and I are thinking of dumping cable and going with Directv. Was looking for any input from the Dis'ers who have it. Do you like it? Easy to set up? Any problems with it? My only concern is that we can still use our ReplayTV with it So let us know what you think. Thanks in advance.

My sister has Direct TV and loves it. I don't think they've had any problems with it.

it......good quality reception.......and we have only lost it twice....once in a thunderstorm for five minutes and once in a white out ...which lasted twenty minutes........this is a lot less then cable going out ever chance it gets........set up was easy .....hubby did it.......we pay five dollars a month for each additional receiver......we had three extra tvs going at once.......LOVE IT

Hubby put our's up also, and we bought 2 sets, because we have a dish in our camper too. yep we rough it!. Ya do loose it in severe weather so make sure you have a radio during bad weather--only bad thing, but wouldn't trade it back for Cable EVER.

We have DirectTV and I think it is far superior to cable. Great reception! We have three receivers and it works great for us. Heavy snow and rain make it flake out a bit (no pun intented). I know last year when we had snow a lot DH would go out with tha snow brush on a long pole and clean it off and that solved the problem. This year we haven't had much snow so no problem at all.

Yes! We really enjoy it! So far, no problems ... once in awhile (weather related issues) it will go out for a little bit. But, not very often! The customer service we have had has been great!

Yes, we love our Directv. We've had it since 1996. We also started using Replay about 6 months ago. Initially, we had problems with channel changing on our RCA receiver (it was a free one from Directv). We decided to buy a new receiver (got the Hughes GCEBO) and everything has worked wonderfully.
