Do you have Directv?

DH and I are thinking of dumping cable and going with Directv. Was looking for any input from the Dis'ers who have it. Do you like it? Easy to set up? Any problems with it? My only concern is that we can still use our ReplayTV with it So let us know what you think. Thanks in advance.

We recently got direcTV so that we can watch our Yankees!!!

It's really great b/c there are so many channels and although I'm still learning how to use the remote and memorize all the different movie stations it's really great.

The only big problem is that when it is raining or very windy, the reception is horrible and the stations start to break up and sometimes nothing comes in.

We have Dish Network and love it. No problems except during heavy rainstorms.

We've had dish network for several months so we can watch our CUBs lose anytime we want to. Seriously, we have had no problems and the picture is much, much better.

We've had it for about a year and love it. I like Soap Net so I can catch up with All my Children 3 times a day! My duaghter likes all of the HOme decorating channels and my son likes the sports channels, My husband likes all of the news channels. Also we have an option called that lets us record shows. It is so much easier than a VCR. Biggest problem with Dish is too many channels (haha)

I've had directv for almost 2 years now. I love it. I got a deal thru Blockbuster for $9.99 for equitment and set-up. Really, the only weather related problems are short term. I will never go back to cable. One time a friend in my neighborhood called to see if I had reception during a storm as her cable went out. Ha Ha, my directv was still working.

We use Directv. We don't have cable access in our area. It's ok. Not too many complaints.

Have you gone to Directv's website to check things out?

We have had DirecTV for a number of years and it is very good. Great picture.

We've had the Dish Network for about a month now and it's fine. I can't say that I like it any better than AT&T Broadband which we had previously though.
