Because we aren't going to Disney this year :( We have arranged a couple of weeks in the UK for our holiday.

We are doing a week in Falmouth, Cornwall and a week in Woolacombe Bay in Devon - I know its not far away but it is on the North Coast so DH can do some surfing.

What about you?

We are off to Scotland in July for a week on the Cambo Estate near St Andrews. We went there last year and it was fabulous; very relaxing. I just hope we get some reasonable weather as we are taking our 3 kids plus 2 friends. It's a big apartment but could get a bit much if we were stuck inside. Mind you I'd probably just put on my watreproofs and go walking.

Not having a proper holiday in Uk but having a weekend at St David's Hotel in Cardiff. Going to Maldives in 33 days ( not that I'm counting ) and the Far East (Singapore, Bangkok and Hua Hin ) in October. A cruise home from the Caribbean in March and WDW BCV in September 2005...hooray!!!!
Enjoy your trips...Falmouth is lovely.

Keh

I would love to visit Scotland one day - it just seems so far to go LOL :)

Check you Maldive and the Far East :) Lucky thing. I like Cardiff though always seem to spend a few pennies. BCV in September :) I will be at BWV in the October.

No Disney for us this year either, but we're also going to Falmouth.

Yes, Kaylee I can understand that. It was a 5 hour drive for us but well worth it. If you do go I can recommend St Andrews and the Cambo Estate in particular. Fabulous holiday. We don't often repeat holidays (apart from Disney of course) but we enjoyed this so much we booked again as soon as we got home.

We had five days in Chester in Feb:) Might have the odd day in Cornwall in Aug. I lived in Woolacombe for thirty years Kaylee:) Have you been before?

Libby

Really you are going to Falmouth - how spooky!! We are going gown for Falmouth Week in August. I was brought up in Falmouth...so a bit like going home LOL

Clarey

Never been to Woolacoombe before, going for 5 days in September.

We've just come back from WDW and the next holiday is in August when we go to London for a few days then off "home" to South Wales for a few days.

Then, after Christmas back to WDW and our cruise in January 2005.

David

Kaylee, we'll be there the week after you. I've only been to Cornwall once before so it'll be fairly new to me. I wanted to be near Land's End and the Eden project. We're staying in the Swanpool area - I hope it's nice.

I've had a look on Autoroute and the journey will take 5.5 hours!!!

Are there any things we shouldn't miss? There will be me, DH, DS(13) and DD (10). The kids would like to visit a Theme Park but from what I remember of Flambards I think it'll be a bit disappointing for them.

My wife and I will be spending a week on Guernsey. Does that count?

We have enough DVC points for three trips every five years and this is one of our non-WDW years.

I will be doing a little geneology research while my wife lazes by the pool. (I was born on Guernsey)

We've already had one weeks fishing holiday on the Norfolk Broads at the beginning of March! Sitting in a rowing boat in the middle of a river while its snowing all around was pretty surreal.
Next we are off to Cyprus for 2 weeks in July then back to the Norfolk Broads again in October for another week holiday.
In the meantime we are saving like mad to pay to go to Disney next year.

We are going to St Tudy in Cornwall for a week at May half term. I have never been to Cornwall before so any help or suggestions as to what to visit/where to eat will be most welcome. There will be five of us me. DH, DS 12(13 whilst we are there), and twin DD's 10.

Off to Exeter next weekend for a get together with my other internet hobby friends (comping).............other than that I suspect it's grit my teeth and wait patiently for January and WDW.
I managed to combine the two addictions yesterday -I won a Pal Mickey in an internet competition !! :)

we were in the same situation last year. We did WDW 2002 and last year was to be Cornwall but a last minute deal took us to Lanzarotte for 2 weeks. Personally I prefer Cornwall with Looe being on my list of favorite places.

The fishing harbour is very busy but interesting for the kids, especially when the fishing boats land and off load all the days catch.

It's beach gets crowded if the weather is good but don't let that put you off.

The harbour side fish and chip shop do a brilliant cod and chips.. and where better to eat them than sitting on the wall of the banjo pier watching the boats.

My children DS 13 and DD 9 love to fish for crabs. The fishmarket on the harbourside will give them the bait free of charge. All the kiddies love crabbing and have competitions between them to see who can catch the most !

Have a brill time.

I'm lucky; I live in Looe. We just go camping or boating in the summer and make the most of the area.

I come from ND Kaylee. We were married at the Woolacombe Bay Hotel!

Clarey. Did you go to Ilf Comprehensive?

We've just come back from Florida.
Going to Butlins, Minehead, Mon - Fri during whitsun half term.
Then off to West Wales in our tent for the summer. Maybe further afield if the weather is good.

I'm doing a grand tour of english (plus one welsh) theatres/music festivals this summer

Starting May 22 Cardiff St David's/Bristol Colston Hall/London Royal ALbert Hall/Liverpool Summer Pops/Buckingham Stowe Music Festival finishing Aug 14 :hyper:

No money left for summer holidays after all those :Pinkbounc
