Do you have an advent calender?

Well I had a lovely surprise today. DB had a pressie waiting for me. A yankee candle advent calender!!! Woohoo. Behind each window is a tealight and a surprise behind number 24. Did not even know they did them. Nice chsnge from a chocolate one.
Does anyone else still have an advent?

We have an Advent crown candle holder. It's more of a European tradition in homes than in England where they are more often seen in churches. I bought mine years ago from C&A on Oxford Street (makes sense as I believe they are a Dutch company).

We light one candle on each of the 4 Sundays leading up to Christmas, usually with dinner.

The Yankee candle calendar sounds really nice, what a lovely DB you have.

I do. I always get the Fairtrade one, as it's a nativity calendar with scriptures and yummy chocolate!

I buy mine and DFis... we tend to get the leftover cheapy ones as we never remember!! Often my Preschool children at work will habe the same as me! X

My lovely mum normally buys me one, but I bought her and dad one this year (and I got the free one!) she said she's going to buy me a Christmas jumper for national festive jumper day instead

Yankee candle calendar sounds great. I have the Cadburys Make a wish calendar. The kids both have toy advent calendars this year (Lego friends for DD and Imaginext for DS) I have a feeling they will be trying to steal my chocolate!

At home, I bought 25 Yankee votives - all Christmas and festive scents and will burn one a day in the lead up to Christmas.

I also have the Boots makeup advent calendar, whilst my husband has the Lego Star Wars one
