Russians seemed to bundle their children up much more than Americans do!)
That is so true. It was winter when we adopted but the orphanage temperature was in the high eighties. My husband and I were so hot, we have heat flushed faces in all the pictures. Everytime we'd see our DD she was wrapped tightly in a blankie and her head was covered with a bonnet. We were told to keep her that way. When the adoption went through, we had to change her clothes before leaving the orphanage. So, they took her out of the blankie as they were undressing her, we noticed that she was wearing one onesie and two, (yes two) long sleeved, footed pyjama!
