Do you have a reservation?

Hi All,

I have just booked to stay at WL Dec 16-20 2007. We have the DDP premium.
My question is, is booking reservations ahead of time always neccessary? I have been to DW twice, and have never needed to make reservations. We are just slightly before the big Christmas rush, so I was hoping it would be a little quieter the week we are there.

We have selected several places we would like to go for dinner, but knowing us, we will probably make changes once we get there. Would booking reservations the night before suffice for most restaurants?

Christmas is an extremely busy time at WDW. If you know what restaurants you really want to go to , I would make your ADR's now. If you don't you may not be able to get into the most popular restaurants. I would say that planning is essential unless you want to eat mostly counter service meals.

I'm going Dec 9-14, just booked at the end of last week, and we weren't able to get all of our first choices for adrs. You're there a week closer to Christmas than me, so at the very least, I'd book any must haves.

We've been down there the last two years in Dec (second and third weeks) and have seen people turned away at LTT, CP, CRT, Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Mama Melrose, Brown Derby, Hollywood & Vine, 50's Prime Time, and Sci Fi.

I'd make ADRs and then you could always try to change them once you get down there, if you need to.

Definitely make ADR's if you have purchased the dining plan. You do not want to get there and not be able to use your TS credits. December is much busier than in the past, even the weeks leading up to Christmas. Lots of school systems here in the South get out for the holidays as early as the 14th.

Yikes! Ok,thanks all. I will take your advice and make reservations. By the way, what does ADR mean. All I could come up with was Advanced Dining Reservation. Am I close? LOL:laughing:

You're right, but actually, despite what we call 'em, Disney just calls them reservations.
