When we were up in Pennsylvania 2 weeks ago, my brother and I got to discussing my maternal 90 y.o. grandmother, the one in the nursing home.

She was/is quite the character and could scare the mustache off of Hitler.

Anyway, my brother told me that one time she slapped him upside the head in a grocery store (I'm sure my brother deserved it) and a complete stranger approached my grandmother and told her she shouldn't be doing that to him, blah blah blah and her response was "do you want to get it too?"

It had us rolling on the floor! I'm sure at the time my poor mother was beside herself with embarrassment and my brother wanted to go hide somewhere. I wonder what that stranger thought!

I'm sure she gives the nursing home staff a run for their money!

So...do you have a relative that keeps the family roaring?

Everyone on my DH's side of the family. And I'm not kidding.

I had one, but she passed away 3 years ago. She was the life of the party, that one. She had a joke for every occasion, though most often, they weren't that appropriate.

My aunt is really loud, obnoxious and domineering. Everyone is afraid of her. I'm convinced that she has a personality disorder, but of course I'm afraid to tell her that.:o

She's the kind of woman that when you see her coming, you get out of her way- very quickly!
