I didn't have a problem with it until I hit 23. I was at Gymboree with my baby and all the moms asked. Well, I told them and they were all about 10-15 years older than me!

They were nice about it, but definately made it a point everytime I said something to point out how young I was. So, now I am not a fan!

Do you mind?

PS. I dont mind people here asking, as I dont know you and I cant imagine any of you bringing it up everyday/week what have you!;)

I don't mind, but, I get a lot of people who think I look a lot older than I am....it's a good thing at 13, but lets hope I get the opposite when I get older ;) :teeth:

I have been asked by other mothers and I really don't mind. Since I had my first daughter at 27 I tend to be younger than most:D

I'm not bothered by my age. I will be 55 in August and it doesn't bother me to admit that fact :)

Yep, 'cause i can never remember if I'm 31, 32 or 33! I have to figure out my husband's age & then count back 1 year!!! :hyper:

Nope, I was 36 last month, but to me it's just a number. Dh is 39 and always has to ask me how old he is! :)

No I don't mind anyone asking my age. I'm 37 by the way. :D

Boy, does this emphasize how times have changed. My mom was 27 when she had me. I'm the youngest of 3 kids. I remember when I was a kid in school, I always wanted a younger mom. My parents were older compared to most of the others.

My mom was 36 when they got me...all through school I had the oldest mom and it was SO embarrasing....now its so opposite...my friend had her son at 23 and he used to say how embarrased he was at school having a mom so young. When I went to parents day at my duaghter school this year I thought for sure I would be the oldest one there (I'm 41) but there were more moms in there late 30's and early 40's than ones in their 20's..by far!

Although I'm quite comfortable w/ my age(33), I think it's a rude question.

I used to get annoyed, but now I dont mind. People think I am much younger than I am. I am 34 and if I went to a bar with no makeup on I would definatley get proofed. I have been proofed for a rated R movie. It is great now, but not so good before I was 21.

Nope, doesn't bother me at all. I'm 44, btw. :)

Depends on the situation. DS' class has a bunch of older moms in it (40's) and I'll be 27 next week. There is one other mom that is the same age as me and we both get treated as if we're part of the class rather than a mom of one of the students!

Other then that I don't care. Though I wasn't thrilled when someone told me that my little brother was cute when they were talking about DS!

I guess it would if, as it sounds, ocm, that they are sort of putting you down, as not experienced nor knowledgeable due to your younger years. As for me, with the big 6-0 here in a few weeks, fine by me, ask away. :)

As a teacher, I usually have a few students who are too interested in my age. I used to make up ages just to keep them guessing, AFTER I told them that it was none of their business. I also lectured the boys to NEVER ask a lady that question;) In fact, I used to make up ages so much that I really did have to think to figure out my age (ugh!). Now that I'm getting more "mature" (though I don't necessarily feel mature), students usually guess younger than I am (woo hoo!!) (I'm 34).

Yes it bothers me... hate to admit it ( that is that I am over 40).. but once I turned 40.. I figured that anything over 40 was bad enough.. so i hate it when people ask how old I am.... I just tell people that I am a dinosaur.. and leave it at that..
