Thought it was mostly pre-teens (who're trying to act older )...know that my son's 20-something crowd rolls their eyes. Surprised that adults would bother with it.

Not so. There are lots of great uses for it. It a great way for groups to do mass communication as well as keep in touch. DD is in college and everybody has myspace and facebook.

Just changed my background to a Christmas theme today.

I have a myspace, but I’m boycotting it at the moment. It became a false sense of community. People believed they were communicating or connecting with others, when in fact they were putting on a front.

And then two of my good friends started dating each other, adorning the other’s page is love notes and kissing pictures.

Oh brother, it sounds like we’re all back in high school again.

I have a dumb question..Is there an easier way to search for people on it?? My DH set one up for us (I have no idea how to get to it.) I know it has pics of all of us. But if I wanted to look for old friends from where I grew up, I enter male or female, and zip and just have to look at the pics to see if they look familiar?? It has been 20 years!! How do you search on it??

HEY!!! Some of your wicked cool friends have a page. it's not jsut a hook up dating thing. In all fairness, some of the people are a little forward about what they want to do with you. But in general, it's the best way for me to keep up with my cousins and friends.

Yes, and once you set it up, it doesn't take much to update it at all. I don't ever change the basic info, I just change my background every few months, and keep my pictures updated every so often.

I talk to people I haven't seen in years, thanks to MySpace. It's really the easiest way to keep up with all my girlfriends, since we're all scattered across the country and have busy lives!
