Do you have a "honey do" list?

I try not to ask dh to do to much since he works really hard at work all day and even stays up late doing work at home, but I have been asking him for a long time to replace 2 doors in the house since last year, well its still not done. Just wondering do you have a list and how much is on it and how long have you been waiting for the projects to get done. I, sadly, am not talented in doing anything related to home repairs etc.

Nope. My honey do just what he want, when he want. Sometime, I just give him a good reason to want to do something.

I really don't have a list. My dh is gone so long during the day and night and that doesn't count deployment. I just either fix it myself or have it fixed. I don't think my dh even notices if it is broken, new or even fixed unless it has to do with the fridge or the bed.


Froggy, you should come over here to KY. You would make a ton doing the honey do chores while the guys are gone.

No his is GO TO Work...and he is doing 100% great at that, so I try to handle everything else(I did roof my house!!!), or try to hire someone if he can't do it. Good Luck

No list b/c honey (aka Daxx) knows what to do around the house. I won't make a list or nag him b/c I know that he works hard all week long and needs some down-time over the weekend.

But, in all honesty ... there is an ulterior motive ... if I put together a honey do list for him, he'll be putting together a honey do list for me! And, quite frankly, I want to do things in my own good time as well!!!!

I don't have a formal list, but there are some things I would like him to take care of this century. I give him the option of taking care of it or paying someone to do it. He doesn't like to spend money. We have a list of small jobs that need to be done that neither of us know how to do, but we can't find anyone that will come and do them for such small jobs. I keep telling my Dad and my FIL, both very handy and retired, they could make a fortune in our area doing small fix-it jobs.

I was talking to my neighbor this afternoon complaining about "Half a Project Harry" (my DBF -- no his name isn't Harry), and he (funny guy that he is) suggested that I take a different approach.

He suggested that since DBF is in management with a company that installs stuff, that I make him up a punchlist for this job site.

Think it would work?

I have a list but not a honey. I've made friends with my contractor, and every so often I'll call him and say, "Send over one of your guys, I've got a honey-do list." It gets done quickly and well, and I don't have to nag anyone. On the other hand, I do have to pay for it...

This is exactly the way it is at our house. If I want it done I either do it myself or get the phone book out!
