Do you have a crop room in your house??

Hi
I just converted my dining room into a scrap room. I love it. I get so much done. I only have a few more touched and then I'll post my pictures.
I love going to the SDV's. I go to 2x/yr. I'm going to the one in NJ in sept.
I'm also going to my 1st Creating keepsakes convention in Pa next month.

No picture but I'll describe my "workroom". It is a smallish room (9 x 10 or so I think. I have an 8 foot folding table along one wall so that my primary workspace is right next to a window. Great for adding daylight when it is available. Grouped on, around and under the table are my supplies and tools. For the most part I don't have to move around too much. There is plenty of other "stuff" that is stored in there as well for my GS troop but as they are getting older we're about to clean a LOT of it out. The piano has the opposite wall so I do lose the room when there are voice lessons to practice for (kids). The one thing I have in there that was sort of a default but I would NEVER remove it now for all the space in the world is an old couch. It anchors the end opposite the door so it is perpendicular to my work space. When I am in there working it is pretty common for one of my teens to pop (or is that plop) in and hang for awhile. Since mom is doing something else this is their "perfect" time to hang out and talk about whatever is on their mind and then just get up and wander away. I wouldn't trade those times for anything.

Oh, the other thing I couldn't do without is my little stereo - need that music going on.

I have a scrap room in my house. Here is the link to the pics of it. It is Disney themed and I love it!

scraproom - You have to click on the little pictures once you get there to see the room. The first one is from 2001 and the second one is more recent.

is my DS 's old bedroom. It is 10x12, white walls and black carpet(he had a nascar room. I don't have pics to post and my card is full of vaca shots right now so I will just describe it.

When you enter on the left is a book case shelfs high if you count the top. The DH built it out of black formica covered MDF. The shelves are 13 inches deep so that my albums fit nicely. It also holds some snow globes and books.
Next to it is a 6 foot folding table which I avoid moving unless absolutely necessary. It has a unit above it with cubbies that are 13x13 for paper (8 of those) and 6- 13x13 by 8" high cubbies for tools and idea books. This is also made out of the black formica MDF. On my table I have a couple little drawer units for markers, scissors, tape runners, etc.

On the front wall I have a glass bookcase with my little stereo and CDs. One of the these shelves is reserved for items to be returned to their spots. I hate to stop working to put things away when I am in the "mood". LOL!!!

on the right wall is my computer desk, printer and another plastic cart that holds file folders full of stickers, drawers with chalks, buttons, etc.

All around the room are photos of my family, mostly framed in black to match the room. I love this space and the only thing missing is a small tv for the corner (had one til the DD went to college) so I can watch a movie while working. :)

I had an enormous closet all too myself til the hubby had to start wearing sport jackets and suits when he travels on business...now its clothes...ugh!

Have fun with your new project.

Tina I have had your scraproom pictures in my files for years. One day I hope to have a Disney themed scraproom.

No, but I wish I did! I do keep a table set up in the basement so whenever the opportunity comes I can sit down and work on a page or two.
