I don't mean made up..but life stories?


I feel like I always have a story to tell someone about something! I dunno, maybe I just realte well to people? OR maybe I think I am more interesting then I really am?

well my paternal grandfather is from Greece. The island of Lesbos actually. The ancient poet, Sappho, was also from the same island. Sappho liked women. That's how lesbians get their name. My dad absolutely loves to tell people how his dad is a lesbian

Do you have a big family? Or have youlived a lot? My family is huge and I have been through a lot for someone my age..so maybe that is it. But man..I feel like I can relate to everyone!LOL!

I am a story teller too.. I use stories to tell a point or to share things.. or to just tell a story.. some many things that have happened to me over the years can sound so much more fun or interesting than when it happened at the time... sort of like my scrapbooks. DS #2 was looking at one of our vacation books and he said " MOM, you always make the vacation look like so much more fun than we had!! " But that is another story....

We particularlly don't have a large family. But the way my dh and I were brought up were completely different. Kinda like country mouse/city mouse type difference. Like how I slept in the truck the first time dh took me capming becaue I saw a HUGE racoon and it scared me to death! Or how dh couldn't believe my that my parents would give me their stuff free if they didn't want it anymore. My dd tells everyone that dh's family is redneck and my family is royality. So she's the Redneck Princess. So that is for some interesting stories on how we have come to compromise on a lot of things. My stepson has been writing down his memories with plans of writing a book he plans to call it "Smith family outing".

My dh, stepson, and dd are wonderful story tellers! They can spin a tale and will talk anyone who is willing to listen. I just make sure they have their facts straight and aren't umm, making the story more interesting just for the fun of it!

But yes, I do have a story for just about every situation..and they are all true..honest...I don't lie.

Yep - lots of them - Some I'm proud of and some I'd rather pretend happened to someone else's family.

It wasn't too long ago when we would get in the car to go somewhere and sure enough, DS9 would say "can someone tell me a story". DH and I would just know it was coming so we'd have to kind of plan ahead. It was hard to always come up with an original he hadn't heard before.

We have a few -- good, bad and ugly but all true.

Gosh, I miss those days (and he's only 9 and we've outgrown something special we shared with him)!! . I'll have to think of a good one to use the next time we're all driving somewhere together. Maybe we can spark this interest again.

lol dw always threatens to leave me if i start telling storys,, i am a story teller, big time ,, aseriously considering writing a book after i am over my accident that cost me the lids,,, definately has a story r 2 totellfrom that experience,, i kinda figure i am going to end up in a pulpit as a motivational speaker, and author,, already know i am being called to preach, now i know what Hes wanting me to talk about, and how,, its just a matter of when is he goingto get the eye ilds rebuilt so i can get started

I have an Aunt that tell epics...but you always need a "grain of salt" when you listen!LOL!
