I am finding out that most of my adr are ending up being at epcot. With the family of 4 and 2 under 8 years old i don't plan on spending too much time at epcot. am i doing this wrong or do you guys hit a park all day and then head out to another park for dinner only. i have a car and i am staying on property but i don't want to waste my whole vacation traveling around between parks. is this something to be concerned about or am i ok!

We really varied, but very rarely spent a whole day in a park before dinner. For one reason we often wanted to freshen up before a meal. Also, whilst we headed over to a park for a particular meal, we did usually hit a couple of rides afterwards as we linked the EMHs with our ADRs leaving plenty of time to walk off some of that lovely food.

Just see how it works for you- personally we never stayed an entire day in one park anyway so a bit of hopping for tea was no big deal really.

We often do this. After all our visits to WDW (4+ times a year for 15+ years), we spend a lot of our park time just wandering around, rather than doing the attractions. Its not unusual at all for us to do only 3-4 attractions in a 4 day visit. But we'll usually plan a nice meal every day.

We often plan our days out so that we have a mid-afternoon break for some pool or nap time. After that, its often off to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations.

Yes we have. The thing is, that traveling to the park, parking, and getting to your restaurant can be quite a schlep. If you are dining in World Showcase at Epcot and you are not staying at an Epcot resort, you are looking at driving(or taking the monorail) to the parking lot and walking through Future World and to your WS restaurant. You can cut down the walking a bit, if you take Disney transport to an Epcot resort and enter Epcotn through the International Gateway. Even at that, you are doing some considerable hoofing. I wouldn't discourage you from booking an Epcot WS dinner, but I think I would allow some time for attractions/shopping.:earsboy:
