We are getting ready to plan our next trip, most likely for Jan/Feb 2011.
We have gotten hopper passes in the past but did not really use them - only hopped once - so wondering if we should bother getting them. The bummer is that we cold not take advantage of doing different park EMH's during the evening, but we ahve never done the EMH's so I am wondering what they are like. I have heard they are kinda crazy and that if I follow tour guide Mike we will get everything in and be able to relax in the evening.

I like going to early EMH, my son gets up early anyway so we get there when it opens and stay until lunchtime. We go back to the resort for nap or a swim and then head to a different park. When we get there the crowds are not bad but by lunchtime it does get crowded at MK. We have gone to MK and Epcot evening EMH, It was not bad but we go during off peak season.

We do the EMH's as much as we can. We also go during the value season so the crowds are low anyway. Two years ago, we were at MK for the early morning EMH and were able to ride the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin ride over and over without waiting for more then a few minutes. Usually, we just walked right back on.

I go in value season too but avoid doing the EMH's whenever possible.

AM yes, PM no.

I would wait on hoppers, this year it was so cold in Jan/Feb many weeks that staying out at night was miserable. We are die hard fans and even with jackets and long johns on I couldn't take it one night past sundown (and I come from a cold winter place). You can add hopping on at any time and its the same costs so I would definately wait and add it when you are ready to hop.

Even when staying in WDW hotels, I avoid the EMHs. I did them all the time for years and then they switched it around to include these PM ones and after a while, I just quit.

The p.m. ones are just too crowded and the a.m. ones are few and far between. Plus, I've found that I get as much done attending parks on non-EMH days as I did getting up the extra hour early and hitting the a.m. ones. Didn't expect that to be the case, but that's how it turned out.

I might stay and take in a later showing of Mickey's Philharmagic or ride IASW one last time, but in general, I avoid the EMHs.

Early ones if we feel like getting up. We go at low times. We totally skipped them when we went during Spring Break and used TGM instead. We did do the evening EMH this past January at AK and it was wonderful. Kids rode Everest over and over and that park is really neat at night. It was worth it for that.

We went last Jan, and I agree that it was so cold that I don't know if that experience is representative. We only hopped once but will plan to buy it again....we'll do more dining in the parks this year (more at resorts last year)so it makes it easy if we want to catch a ride before/after.

Regarding EMH, we were glad to know when they were so we could go to the opposite park. :rotfl: Worked like a charm.

We go in Sept, and use the EMH alot...PM ones!
We-two adults- are not morning people, we like to sleep in,so the p.m EMH work well for us. We don't like the idea of PH, we just plan a day and stick to one park. Sometimes, the parks we pick has the EMH sometimes they don't. We don't go out of our way to get the EMH but if it happens, we enjoy them.
I think it's a matter of personal opinion, who is in your party, their ages, and if they are night owls/morning people.
Good luck and have a great trip.

We usually do evening EMH, but typically we don't park-hop to take advantage of it. Rarely have experienced high attendance during evening EMH, but we tend to visit WDW in early to mid December. Occasionally early March or October, but December has become our favourite! :)

Haven't managed morning EMH yet. Barely make it for the occasional rope drop, unless we booked an early tour!
