To the movies? I enjoy going to a movie on my day off, my husband thinks it is the weirdest thing he has ever heard of, going alone. Anyone else do this or am I "weird" lol. I am ok with it! Haha:lmao: But I would rather not wait on everyone else to be free on a weekend to go.

I've gone to quite a few movies by myself. It felt kind of weird the first time I did it, but not anymore. Dh isn't really interested in going to the movie theater for movies, so I go by myself, unless I can find someone else to go with me.

I have no problem in doing almost anything by mysef. I've even gone to WDW by myself. Is that weird? Maybe. Wouldn't want to go by myself for every WDW visit, but once in a while is fun.

I've never gone by myself. I probably could, but I would feel so weird doing it. My sister goes by herself all the time. :confused3

I've gone to the movies alone before. :)

May do it again this week to see a movie I want to see.

Then I don't have to share my popcorn with anyone. ;)popcorn::

I used to go alone, but now only 1 theater within 20 minutes has daytime showings during the week.

All the time. I love to go alone, because I can watch the movie without anyone asking questions, making comments. I go on Sundays as a Mom break sometimes.

I only have once (well, husband and sons were in the same complex, but another movie), but just yesterday I thought I might go to the dollar movies today by myself.

Son (8) just called and says his stomach hurts, so I probably shouldn't go today. He's supposed to call back if it gets worse.

Sure there are some movies that I want to see that would make my DBF miserable and vice versa so sometimes we go together but sit in different theaters.

When I was single I went to the movies alone almost every weekend.

I have.....only problem is that if I have to get up and go to the bathroom I have to take all my stuff with me, but other than that I don't mind at all.

I love going to the movies alone :goodvibes it's so relaxing and fun. I haven't been to a movie by myself in a couple of years though, I haven't had time. In fact we really only go to the movies a few times a year.

I used to. Didn't mind going alone at all. But, with Netflix and home movie theater system I rarely go anymore. It's probably been at least a year, or two, since I've seen a movie in a theater. I'd rather wait for them to come out on Netflix and see them at home, where people aren't getting up and down, no candy wrapper or cell phone noise, people talking, etc. etc. I hate paying money to see a movie at the theater and not be able to enjoy it because of the things people around me are doing. Plus, as a PP said, if you need to use the bathroom you have to take all your stuff with you, so at home I can just pause the movie to do that. :)

yep! my sister and I both worked at movie theatres in high school and have no problem going alone if we have a free day or want to see something noone else does. my dh is the same way. my mother and other sister would NEVER.

when my kids were very small and we didn't have any babysitting, dh and I would often split up and see the same movie, him at noon, me at 3 or something like that. then we could discuss after.

its such a rainy week this week I may sneak off later and see one. :)

Love me some alone at the movies time! Used to be able to do it with the HP movies, but now that dd 10 has the bug, I don't go alone. It's fun to go with just her tho, older dd could care about HP stuff.

I enjoy going to the movies by myself. There are so many that I want to see, that it is easier than trying to wait to get a group together.

I don't like going to the movies alone or with someone.
That being said, if I liked going to the movies I wouldn't mind going alone.

I have been to movies alone many times alone. My friends give me grief like its a tragedy, "so sad" that I had to go alone....doesn't bother me. I tend to go to matinees - I probably wouldn't go alone on a blockbuster opening night at 9pm or other prime date night showing but I feel fine going to an afternoon showing alone. DH isn't big on movies - he'll go if I really press but he'd rather not.

Yes I go by myself all the time. I really enjoy it as a good escape

Yes. I don't mind going alone at all. Two of the last four times I went to the movies I was alone. Sometimes I'll go with my parents and we'll split up and they'll see one movie and I'll see another and occasionally I'll go totally alone. (Last one I saw by myself was Black Swan - perfect to see alone haha)

I don't do it often but I have gone alone. I plan on going alone May 26 after I drop the boys off at school. Going to the Hangover Part ll. I can't wait!

I guess I am weird too...I like "me" :lmao: so I am okay with the company :rotfl:
