Do you get wet on the JAWS ride?

I can't ever remember getting wet on Jaws. I mean, if you are on either end of a row you may get splashed minimally but it is nothing.

You can get splashed depending on where you sit but nothing that would even want you to put on a poncho as a precaution.

I rode it for the first time last week. The boat captain (or whatever they're called) made a big deal about not wiping off the seat before sitting because "everyone WILL get wet" anyway. I was on the end nearest the shark and I barely got wet.

You may get bitten, though. Keep your hands and legs inside the boat at all times, unless you are getting off. Then take your arms and legs with you.

I've been on the ride a few dozen times and one time I got my right leg splashed on when I was sitting in the last row on the right. Otherwise, not a drop of water.

I was on the outside left seat in the middle row right where the shark comes up and got quite wet. Most of the seats stay dry.

You might get wet on Jaws. If you sit in the middle, you're safest.

I've been on where I haven't got a drop (that's most of the time) but there are times when a wave of water came up and landed in my lap. Sit in the middle and you'll be good :thumbsup2

As others have said, to keep dry, sitting in the center is your best bet.

In general, it's not a ride designed or made to get you wet. However, with some of the "explosions" in the water, as well as shark swim by's, Water may splash into the boat. If you do get wet, it's likely to just be some general splash type damage.

honestly, normally the wettest I've gotten the past couple times I've ridden came from sitting in a wet seat. (Of course, i enjoy sitting on the edge so I can be "closest to the action")

Most of the rides I've been on, nobody in the entire boat got more than a few drops. It must vary to a certain extent.

During the summer, it seems like the water cannons seem to shoot more water than normal. I have seen people in rows 2/3/4/5 on the left side get drenched.

I usually end up on the right side and get nothing or just a few sprinkles of water.

As someone mentioned and I've always thought...when its warmer the water cannon shoots further. I've been on multiple times and never gotten very wet.:)

I've discovered that you don't want to sit all the way back against the seat, the water from the splashes can end up in a puddle there. I've gotten off the ride with a wet behind a few times :guilty:.

Last year we decided to catch jaws right before going to the TWA.
My son sat on the left side towards the back and at the end of the ride
during the last sequence a wave as big as him hit him.everyone in the boat
died laughing as it looked like the water had it out for him.He was soaked
and I dont think anyone else got more then a little wet.Not a wet ride but sometimes if you are on the end bad luck hits.

I read this thread just before we left and thought I would be safe on jaws. I rode this ride last Friday and sat in row 2 on the edge left side. I got 100 percent soaking wet from head to toe. I was NOT pleased as I was not expecting it. It made for an uncomfortable day because I had to ride every thing after in wet pants and top. My dh who sat beside me got plenty wet too and even ruined our paper tickets that were printed off at home because he kept them in his shorts pocket! I had noticed the guy behind me sat away from the edge and wondered why. Meanwhile I sat pressed up against the rail so I could get a better look at the shark! :rotfl2:
