 hi there! just wanted to brag! hahaha...

i'm kinda bored tonite! but my comment was published in CHILD magazine!!!

Page 72 right hand side of the page 2nd paragraph from the bottom!!!! :yay:

:rainbow: it's pretty exciting! this is the second time i've gotten in it since we began the subscription 1 yr ago!!!

The QUESTION was:

How would you respond if your 4 yr old ran around and was disruptive in restaurants?

the answer choices were:
a- ease the little ones into public dining by only going to noisy kid friendly restaurants (31% of the votes)

b- Bring Toys and coloring books to keep your child occupied and promise a treat if he stays in his seat (45% of the vote)

c- select quieter restaurants but practice good table manners before hand and go early (25% of the vote and i voted here!!)

"If you only go to noisy restaurants, your child will learn nothing about how to act in other restaurants," says DisneyMommyMichelle of Rockford, IL. "If my daughter wants to get down or be loud, we take her to the waiting area and sit with her for a few minutes. If she chooses to still be loud and wants to run around, my husband or I will take our food to go and sit in the car with her with no distractions. Kids need to learn that there are consequences to their actions, not just rewards."

:woohoo:

we also bring things to keep her occupied, but NEVER bribe our kids. :yay:
