From the dvcmember.com website when attempting to purchase the AP with a discount, it actually links you to the regular disneyworld.com website purchase page with the discount applied.
It was almost a year ago, but I'm almost positive it was a voucher I got in the mail after the online purchase. We activated ours at MK I think.
If there is enough time before your trip they will mail you a voucher. In our case our departure was so close to us deciding on AP's that Disney gave us a confirmation # which we used a guest relations to get our AP's.

Depends on what option you choose - you can elect to have a voucher/exchange certificate mailed to you (for a $3 charge) or you can elect the "Will-Call" option.
If you plan to order the DDE or if you want access to the passholders' website, you need to get the voucher - you'll need the numbers off the back of the voucher to do either of those things. The will call confirmation number (that you get via email) will not work.
Since I'll probably be doing resale instead of initial Disney purchase, I just want to confirm that you save $100 off your regular annual pass (out of state) for each annual pass you purchase (i.e., myself and daughter). Thanks!

Don't worry. You can buy a DVC discounted AP on site. If you want to turn in your MYW ticket towards the AP, you have to do it on site - at opne of the Guest Relations booths. Don't forget your blue DVC membership card and your photo ID, LOL!
