Do you get a confirmation in the mail?

Made our first DVC reservation 3 months ago. Realized I never got a confirmation in the mail. Are you supposed to? I know it's in their computer because I also called to be put on a waitlist, and the reservation was there.

Yes. In fact, we have split our reservation for our trip in December and received a confirmation for each resort.

I have had to ask a couple of times to have it sent but then decided as long as it was in ther system when I called them I didn't really need it. I do always write down the number they give you when you make the reservation. When you check in all you need is a photo ID for the person whose name the registration is in.

I made my first reservation 4 weeks ago as a DVC member..I did not recieve any conformation in the mail.... amy

I made three reservations about a month ago and received confirmations in the mail for all of them within a week to 10 days. Recently I modified one of the reservations (changed the room type) and received a confirmation a week or so later for that, too.

I have always gotten a mail confirmation EXCEPT with our last reservation a few months back for March 06...still no mail confirmation and have called 2X but can see reservation in the system and they say they can but that said I like something written. Don't know what has changed but I'm glad it has happened to others. Will be down in Oct and will inquire again then. Carol

One time I didn't get my confirmation for a reservation I rented to someone. Luckily the person kept faith in me but it was a hassle to get a written reservation from DVC. They finally e-mailed me one.

DD has been trying since March to get a paper confirmation for the cash nights she added for a relative for 12/05. She did receive a 1 night paper confirmation and it had the dvc discount on it. So DD called back and explained again she wouldn't be staying in that room could she please have a corrected confirmation for that night and the other 2 nights. She calls every 2 weeks and still nothing. Just about a month ago she finally received the paper confirmation for the points portion. Hope you have better luck. Susan

I didn't get one for my December trip. I'm glad so many of you haven't because it makes me feel better. I still think I'll call and get one, though. Having the paper makes me feel more secure.

Made ressie 4 months ago and got written confirmation. Just changed on 9/7 and received a new written confirmation for the change this last week. Did not request it in either case.
