I've seen some resorts say they charge extra for King Size Bed?

Others it seems to be a request?

I've been told that they only have a few rooms with King Size and sometimes they have to up-grade the view to get you into a king size?

I just wondered if anyone knew much about this topic? popcorn::

In know in the value resorts the king beds are in the accessable rooms, and they are standard, no extra charge.

Value resorts have mostly two double beds, with some rooms having one king bed instead. These are by request (i.e., not guaranteed).
Moderate resorts have mostly two double beds, with some king beds available, guaranteed at an additional cost.
Some Deluxe resorts have some king beds, by request (again, not guaranteed).

At the values, a king bed room is a request only. You pay for either a standard or preferred location room, and request a king bed.

At the mods, a king bed room is a category unto itself and is paid for, which guarantees you a king bed.

At the deluxes, it is pretty much hit or miss. I know the CR has a category of deluxe garden view rooms that come with a king bed. At the Poly, the king bed rooms are only available as part of a suite.
