Do you feel old?

I am 40. I feel like an adult - but I don't feel old.

There are somethings that I did as a young adult that no longer appeal to me but I don't feel old because of it. I just feel more mature.

I can still look at the world with anticipation, and hope and I can still see the magic in most things. So no.. I do not feel old. Just smarter.

I will NEVER be old! My body may ache, I may get some wrinkles, I may have to color the gray more often, but I will NEVER be OLD!

Not usually, but sometimes it occurs to me how old I am and it feels like a punch in the face. I've decided that this is the year I start lying about my age.

Yes and no. I'm 25 and am the oldest of 20+ grandchildren in my family. It freaked me out a bit to know that the next oldest grandchild (next to my 21-year-old sister) is a sophmore in high school!

We must be the same age! I'm coming up on it in February.....

Not handling the idea of turning 50 very good. I know. I've been told its only a number. But when oldest DD brought up the fact that it is half a century I nearly fainted. Sometimes I feel great but sometimes I feel like a half a century.

Well I was feeling great a month ago when the kids in my German class were shocked to find out I was 30. "OMG! I thought you were my age!" I felt fantastic then. I had my b-day a couple days ago, and my DD7 asked me how old I was. I told her "31" and she says "Wow! That's really ooooold." Not to mention that at only 31 I have white hairs, glasses, and a bad back! Can you imagine how I'll be in another thirty years?!

Not me, but 43 year old DH does. And it cracks me up. Just yesterday, DH realized he was the oldest person in the restaurant where we had lunch. There were about 20 people in there(including staff) and everyone was in their teens or twenties.

I also got a kick out of DH needing bifocals for the first time. We always have our eyes examined at the same time. So, he goes first and the doctor told him it is time for bifocals. I was cracking up so bad I could barely get through my own exam.
