Do you feel extra magic hours will be reduced in October?

I'm starting to feel we will get less days, less choices of parks, etc. for extra magic hours for October. There's no history to really go by. I think there may only be a park early or late, but not both, if we get that much. So, in essence 4 choices for a week. One reason I feel this way is MK will be having it's MNSSHP. I'll be watching September hours with great interest.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I'm hoping with the Food and Wine Festival that maybe the extra magic hours will be better but I wouldn't count on it.

Well one thing I'm thinking is if the resorts are full, it will be more crowded, and I think the crowds are the reason for the emh's, so as long as they are at capacity in their resorts.... :confused3 I do know all the advertising has resulted in more bookings - more than even Disney thought!!

I don't know...I've already been looking at the week we will be there and trying to *figure out* when EMH might be. Honestly, I really don't care. LOL We've got our plans now and weren't planning on doing EMH anyways.

I am curious thought about all the ads everyone else is seeing. Where are you seeing the ads? I told 25 people from across the country about the free dining and no one had heard of it. And since I rebooked on June 2 I have only seen ONE WDW commercial on a Saturday morning during cartoons.

Also, just my own theory here...while I think this deal has brought people to WDW who weren't other wise planning to come at least during this time frame...I can't help but think it more so has brought people inside the resort area to take advantage of the package. Those guests who would have stayed at the Holiday Inn or HoJo are now staying at a resort hotel to get the free dining. That's just what I think anyways.

I agree whole-heartily with you! The only way I would have known is from here. There were no ads in our paper or on tv. I know that it may seem full, b/c when I called to book they told me some resorts weren't available. When I later thought about this I realized that they only set a certain number of rooms per hotel for this pkg, and some resorts had already sold out of that pkg. I doubt that WDW would have put too many rooms for this b/c of the money they are losing. If you paid for the dining it would be $37 per adult per night (a great deal in itself). So for us that would have been an extra $444-2 adults, 1 toddler. So WDW just gave me an extra $444 insentive to plan a spur of the moment trip. I doubt they set aside more then 5-15% of rooms for this, it's too good of a deal.

I don't know why you think you won't have EMH in October?? MNSSHP will most likely mix it up a bit. However, there's no reason to think that all the parks will not have 1 evening and 1 morning EMH. They had them when it started during the slow season of January. So, that's not going to be a factor. There has defintely been a pretty set pattern to the EMH schedule since the changes in January. However, we have seen them shift it around alittle bit and I would possibly expect that for October.

The resorts themselves are not terribly booked right now for standard reservations - the only people having problems finding dates at some resorts are those going for the free dining option, which is limited in availability (only so many per resort per week).

I have a feeling October is going to be just like normal - not January-dead, but not even mildly considered "too crowded". Just have a good idea of where the crowds are going to be any particular time...and avoid them. ;)

N.E.D.

I haven't seen any "ads" for the dining plan only by going to the WDW site did I know anything about it and of course from the DIS. Can't wait though, is it September yet??
