....when you miss any of your classes?? I didn't go to either of my 2 classes today because I feel horrible. I have my first exam of the semester tomorrow and was hoping that sleeping in would make me feel perhaps slightly better. Back to the question, do you feel bad when you miss any of your classes? :confused3

I only missed one class all of last year, and yes I felt bad when I missed it. But at that point I could barely drag myself across the room, let alone all the way across campus, so it really wasn't an option. I look at it as, if you don't miss often, and you're legitimately sick, than it's no big deal (even if I do feel bad about it)
Hope you feel better soon!

ETA: I've always felt a little bad about that, even in grade school/high school. I think it's because my mother's a teacher...

It depends on the class....some teachers don't care about attendance as long as you know the material. other classes you just don't need to go to, and they're a waste of your time. i only feel bad if i like the teacher or skipped for absolutely no reason.

I don't feel bad; I just think about how much money I'm paying to go to school and I might as well get my money's worth.

I feel bad if I skip for no reason...only done that a couple times though.

Now, when I have to miss a couple classes when I leave for WDW...then I won't feel bad. :teeth:

I never felt bad before (especially in highschool) but then I did really horribly my first semester of College because I always slept through my morning classes, so now this year I'm being a "good student" and I only missed one class (which was only partially my fault, I might add) and I felt pretty bad about it.

I can't stand missing classes. I had to miss two days last year first semester because I was in the hospital, it was excused and everything but I hated it. I need to be in class, I am a kinistetic learner so it is important for me to be active in class discussions and debates. Now, when it comes to work I don't feel bad at all for calling in sick- in fact I may be doing that tomorrow night (my shift is 8pm-2am) so I can go to my favorite club with my friends. :)

matters on the class, if its a major class then I try to go every time. If it is a GE though, then I could care less. Example: I sat through only 3 lectures in econ over the summer, I got a B, and left happy.

I feel really bad when I miss classes. I had a class canceled on Wednesday and I felt so weird not being there.

But, when you're sick, you're sick.

I don't like missing class...that doesn't mean I always enjoy being there!

Classes are really expensive and most of my classes in the past 4 years took attendance. Whether or not it was officially included in the grade, WVU requires attendance as a blanket rule. So the profs usually keep track and grade you accordingly... Meaning, if you get out of bed and come to class, you'll probably fair better than those who never come...or come and chat through the whole lecture... Even if they do turn in all of their work. Participation is almost always part of the grade...which doesn't mean you have to participate in discussion so much as just show up...
